Sheriff David Clarke: The People Have Had Enough - It's Pitchforks and Fire

Gateway Pundit October 17, 2016
On Monday Sheriff Clarke explained how the American public has had enough of the criminal activity by bureaucrats in Washington.
Sheriff Clarke: I meant the same thing that Frederick Douglas said when he said the institution of slavery is a system of brute force and must be fought with its own weapons. I meant the same thing that Barack Obama in a fundraiser in 2008 when he said, ‘If they pull a knife we’ll pull a gun.’..
…A growing number of Americans are fed up with this government. They feel it no longer belongs to them. They no longer have any control over it. We’re not a constitutional republic we’ve become an administrative state. The Constitution is being shredded. The rule of law does not matter for certain people in Washington DC and people have had it. I’m suggesting the same thing the Founding Fathers did in the 1770s when they drew up the Declaration of Independence… It’s right there. Were they inciting violence? No. What they wanted was self rule. They wanted a government that was controlled by the people and not the bureaucrats in Washington.

(Sheriff Clarke is another potential candidate the Trump party could get behind. He is the type of person who tells it like it is without fear or favor. I would run him for Governor of Wisconsin against Walker as a stepping stone to higher office.

He is one of a growing number of police and military people who are being politized and who will be in the forefront of the new populist movement that will be manifest after this election come what may. In the new All American Party.)

Clarke is the real thing that we wanted and needed instead of the reality show poseur version.

That's what principled conviction, experience, and guts really looks like in a man who was never confused about what's right and what's bullshit. Does he even have an ego, because if he does, I never noticed it.

If a man like Clarke say he's gonna fight for you, you never have any second thoughts about what he means by "fight" or if he really means "for you".

Yea, I have a little crush, so what?

Troop, I think you are projecting. For instance, despite the fact that I really don't like Trump, if someone supports him, I don't attack them and make them persona non grata. Same thing if they don't support him. I don't turn on people that easily. If Clarke said he supports him, that's fine with me, but if he said something seriously critical of Trump, I bet you'd attack him. In fact, I bet you would turn on anybody who turned away from Trump. You already have. That's your M.O. - not mine. I stick with principles, ideas, values, not personalities. I have to balance what matters to me against what works and judge people on actions and history. You just need to feel something - for or against. Then you lash out. It's very BLM.

XRay, notice Scott Foval's hand gesticulations are deplorable sign. He says, "There's a double blind there, between the official DNC and what we do" and his hand motions are automatic, his body is trying to help support his vocalizations, but they do not. As natural sign they utterly fail. His body is not automatically supporting his vocalizations, they contradict what he's saying. It's weird!

His hands go, "chop chop" extended wall. Two firewalls would have a space between him. Were I interviewing him instead of Veritas interviewing I'f find it impossible to avoid the impulse of correcting his hand gesticulation to show two walls between this and that.

Know what I mean? It's a small thing, and it's merely distracting, and it does no harm, but it drives me nuts. I'd actually want to help him show me what he means with his hands, because his body is doing it all wrong. Now, that right there is a sign of a disturbed mine. His not mine.. Eh.

I hope he dies in a fire that flares up from the floor below him while being hit by a random army tank and struck by lightning as the earth opens up and swallows him the same time that a dragon swoops in and coughs on his face that was aiming at Godzilla behind him falling forward on top of him just as the explosives placed around the building went off simultaneously with an unexpected tsunami that washes over a tornado that suddenly appears and rip through his table as the battle ax decoration on on the wall falls directly on his head that shakes off by a 6 magnitude earthquake that starts when explosion that ignites a misfired Saturn 5 rocket explodes on his face right as a steamroller smashes everything flat. A guy can hope, anyway.

Once again for those who have tunnel vision. It isn't about Trump, the man. It is about the ideas and positions that Trump's campaign have brought to the public eye.

Trump, as the man, is not the candidate that I am voting for. I am voting for the issues and what he represents and our fervent hope that we can make some progress in turning things around and fixing the problems.

Trump has pointed out the multiple 900 pound gorillas shitting in the corner of the room, that the rest of the GOPe, the Dems, and the corrupt media want to ignore. If it were not for Trump's campaign we would not be talking about these things. Instead we would all be politically correct, polite Romneyesque failures playing the same choreographed dance tune to defeat. Same old, same old song and dance.

So all the harping about Trump's frailties, faux pas, coarseness, he shook Hillary's hand etc etc etc etc etc etc etc....doesn't mean Jack Shit, because if we don't do something about the gorillas, we are going to drown in gorilla poo.

This is the fundamental difference. I see the world as it is. How it is NOW and not what I wish it to be. Practically dictates that you deal with what IS and while what I wish may be not available, I have to deal with the facts as they are. To do otherwise you are just wasting time and energy.

Trump is not the ideal candidate. So? He is the candidate that we have and all the wishing, and hoping will not make it possible to magically substitute the ideal (as if there ever is such a thing).

My parents had an old saying when as a teen I would (whine and snivel) for something.

"Wish in one hand and shit in the other. Guess which one gets full faster." In other words...deal with it.

And he nailed Frumpty's ass to the wall in the last outing. Perhaps the Bluebird of Happiness is getting antsy about her girl's chances of winning. Considering she will have 4 million corpses voting for her, will it be enough?

And a little something not only for Troop, but the rest of us. Trump's son-in -law, Ivanka's hubbo, wants to start a TV network after the election. Since Ivanka has no plans to work for Dad, this could be very slick.

It is precisely Trump the man who is throwing this election away The right message - in the wrong package.

You simply took your eye off the ball, and the worst Democratic candidate in history (an old corrupt hag) picked it up and she's being carried into the end zone by the refs.

Wishing and hoping. Yeah. Or. If I hadn't decided to take that trip to Ireland. Or If I had only chosen this path instead of that path, think how my life might be now.

That didn't happen and there is no point looking back.

I don't think you understand the difference between what is real and what you wish were real.

Ted and Rubio are not the candidates and the idea that they "would" be beating Hillary is not reality and is only wishful thinking/speculation, because they are NOT in this present reality where Trump is the candidate. There is no way to KNOW that Ted or Rubio would be winning because that reality does not exist. IT is the other fork in the road that we can never ever go back. That path is gone.

You can wish and imagine what might have been......everyone does that......but the reality is not what you wish it is. It is what it is and we have to deal with it.

You're just going to have to hold your nose and share the planet with other people who are going to vote for Trump despite the fact that they, with good reason, don't trust Trump and think he's a crap candidate but also think he's the better of the two options. We are all wishing and hoping. He has said the right things recently so I've got to go with that. I do know he'll be better controlled, to the extent that's possible anymore, than his opponent.

And, yeah, Chris Wallace totally sucks eggs in a closet.

As I said (repeatedly) I'm not voting FOR Trump. I'm voting for the issues that I "hope" will be addressed and with a remote hope that something can be fixed. I'm pretty sure that Hillary will just make thinks worse and that her issues, her agenda is absolutely contrary to mine. So. I'm really voting against Hillary and for the issues. Trump happens to be the candidate.... Like it or not and wishing that Trump wasn't the candidate or wishing that someone else was the candidate is delusional because that choice, that path is in the past, closed off and you cannot go back.

It is what it is. and you are right we have to play it as it lays, just like I expressed earlier to April.

edutcher said...

I mention the Mambo Kings only to show Trump beat them like a cheap gong and going by a poll taken 8 months ago is a lousy way to predict who would win. Hardly a shadow, more like a good laugh when the Bluebird brings them up.

Little Marco couldn't even beat the One True Ted and we'd have heard about his foam parties by now - or he'd have done another Chuckie Schumer on us.

And the One True ted would be whimpering in a corner somewhere because you know we'd have found out all about Amanda Carpenter and Sarah Isgur Flores, and the 4 or 5 hookers that made Heidi go walking in rush hour expressway traffic.

And Ivanka and Chelsea haven't been pals for a long time, despite Chelsea's protestations. The only reason they know each other is their husbands are in the same business.

I don't doubt Dad told Ivanka to be nice to the gargoyle so her mother wouldn't go all Hera on the family business.

Although the data looks pretty bad, I still have hope based on nothing more than unscientific personal observations that nearly all the visible support I see is for Trump. The bumper stickers, the yard signs, the people I know, are basically 10 to 1 for Trump. The polls need to be massively wrong to a degree never seen before, but "Keep hope alive!" I do.

Dust Bunny Queen said...

@ Bago

I too think that there is a massive under representation of Trump voters in the polls, in the media. I've heard it called "the monster vote" (yeah I know a conservative site, but the facts are there.. Meaning people who have never voted before who have been drawn out by the issues to vote for Trump. People who rarely vote. People who have declared undecided, but who may really have made up their minds and don't want to say.

Polls are really meaningless when they are over sampled, skewed, and manipulated to give the impression that one or the other candidate is leading. I ignore the polls. Also the same anecdotal evidence that you state. Yard signs, bumper stickers, conversations with people that I know in the past voted Dem or haven't voted all seem to be leaning towards Trump and more importantly ANTI Hillary.

The monster vote of people who haven't voted before and the enthusiasm for Trump, compared to Hillary. Just look at the numbers of people who, routinely, turn out for his speeches compared to Hillary. Tens of thousands at Trump rallies, where Hillary is lucky to fill a High School auditorium. Anecdotal. But perhaps telling.

Being in California as you are, I don't have any illusions that Trump will take the State's electoral votes. But I do think that it will be closer than anticipated in Calif and if the monster vote is truly a thing, Trump may actually win or squeak by in some of the toss up States.

None of the options were ideal in my view, and Trump was not my preferred option. But, he is the option I have. Johnson is not realistic; and while I would normally support the notion of voting third party just to send a message; I tried it in 2006 and we got a Democrat Congress that gave us Obamacare. A President Hillary with a weak congress (doesn't matter the party, if all Ryan is going to do is complain to the Judicial Branch about Executive Overreach, then Congress is weak) will do far worse than Obamacare. Besides, Johnson wouldn't have won in the Republican Primary. He probably would have beat Jeb, but that's about it. Maybe the old guard would hoist him over Carson and Fiorina, but they would slaughtered him against Rubio or Kasich.

In the years that are coming we will need accountability and transparency from our government. We'll never get that in or after a Clinton Presidency.

Also, don't look now but I believe we've just reached peak accusation. (See, e.g., Drudge.)

Colorado is a battleground state. Or at least in some polls it is within the margin of error. As we get closer to the election date we will hear that it is just impossible to vote for Trump. That he is a loser. That he can't win. That it is better to throw away a vote than vote for the Republican candidate who was elected fair and square.

We used to go through this bullshit at election time at another place. Where they would pretend to support the Republican but always come out on the side of the Liberal Democrat. Time and again. I bet it is happening again although I don't care enough to check because it is all so predictable.

Dust Bunny Queen is as usual exactly right. You have two choices. Trump or Clinton. Everything else is bullshit. Saying that someone else would have done better is bullshit. You need to be on board the train. The time for quibbling is long past. Trump will have a great debate because it will be focused on Issues.

The Rand Poll that predicted the last election almost exactly right as opposed to other polls that had Romney close has Trump is a very tight lead. Now polls are bullshit in my opinion. So I don't count on this. But I do feel that there is a groundswell of support for Trump that will crescendo in the last few weeks before the election. The Bradley effect will be felt all over the country. The only way it won't work is if it is rigged. I mean I know it is rigged. A NYC election official said that it was. You know it has happened time and again in urban areas. The O'Keefe video has let you know what lengths they will to to win. So it won't be easy. It will be by a knifes edge. If Trump wins the popular but is denied because of the electoral from rigged outcomes where the urban areas fraudulent votes overwhelm the rest of the states tally then there will be hell to pay.

There's a second vid. A Demo freely admits his party has been stealing elections for 50 years

He talks about busing in voters from out of state. We all know about the graveyard vote and voting machines flipping ballots.

Troop is right, oopsy is right.

3/4 of the states have people with registrations in other states.

And that doesn't even begin to count the counties that have more votes than voters, people allowed to vote multiple times, etc.

And I've saved the best till last. You know the RNC, the people the Bluebird of Happiness says aren't all that bad?

They are barred from contesting any of this. Have the Whigs mentioned this?

Ever?

If anybody saves your vote this Fall, it's going to be Donald Trump, not Little Marco, the One True Ted, or any of the rest of the sellouts.

And trust me, the Lefties are scared right now. Even President Pissy had to "reassure" us of "the integrity of the elections" today.

This time, if it's stolen, a "gentleman" won't be a gracious loser. This time we have a fighter who won't take it lying down. As I've said, this was what drew me to him. He wouldn't take it from Jeb!, he wouldn't take it from the One True Ted.

And maybe all he says and the awareness he's spread will keep it from being stolen.

According to WikiLeaks, the guy doing the leaking was a Global Slush Fund insider.

A lot of Republicans who hate Trump are voting Johnson in CO. (or not voting at all)

R's who do not vote R = a loss for Trump.

I've heard "little Marco" and "One True Ted" one too many times. It's Johnson for me. Don't like it, take it up with the obsessive resident asshole.

The spineless GOP must learn a lesson.
Rinse Preebus let Trump happen. Spineless GOP let Trump happen. GOP know how to lose, that's for sure.

My mentioning the Mambo Kings to make a point only means she does not understand the use of an example. Or history.

And the "spineless GOP" did everything it could to make Trump not happen. The people made Trump happen.

Hence, she doesn't like the people.

She also must be whiffing a lot of that legal MaryJane.

Ed ache - go fuck yourself.
You'll be forever haunted by the people who could actually beat Hillary.
I'm voting for Johnson because of you. That's mighty fine influence you have.

Troop,
I am a loyal Republican voter. I've only ever voted for the candidate with the (R).
Party trumps person. I was going to vote straight R, but, there's a disease in the main line.

I don't believe you for a minute. I haven't for months. You were never going to vote for Trump. You kept saying you hate Hillary. It is a lie. If you hated Hillary the way you said you do you would vote for the only chance to keep her out of the White House. If Trump is so terrible you can be sure that the do nothing Congress would unite to oppose him. Because like you they would rather have Hillary doling out the money. Predictable. Sad.

Another easy vote thrown away for no good reason. A perfect demonstration of what Trump has been doing for this whole campaign. What just happened here with April has been happening with huge blocks of votes across the spectrum for weeks now. Trumpers are not the only ones who have had enough. Attacking everyone all the time is no way to win a popularity contest and timing is everything. Does Trump know this is a popularity contest? He seems to think it's a business deal you just walk away from and pretend you didn't really need it anyway? That may work for him, but the rest us are gonna be fucked.

If anybody believes the Bluebird of Happiness, I have a bridge in Brooklyn for cheap.

She's spent all her time here since she started screeching about Trumpist thugs (that was March) running the man down. And, no, I don't think she was ever that much in love with the Mambo Kings or anyone else.

For some reason, she hates Donald Trump and she uses the claptrap put out by the Cruz campaign to justify it. And, no, it is not happening with huge blocs of voters unless you take the polls seriously. She's been attacking the man for months.

As I say, when she finally figures out a vote for Johnson is a vote for Trump, she'll switch to the Beast.

As for a popularity contest, Trump seems to be pushing ideas a lot. Like America, no illegals, fair trade, jobs for Americans, law and order, an intelligent (as opposed to smart) foreign policy. Can't see how that might be popular.

The thing that gets me is the vituperative accusations. In a broad sense we're all on the same side here, but you'd never know it from the comments. It's crazy, really. Emotions overcoming what I had previously thought of as sane, reasonable, rational people. The ones who left Althouse. WTF.

Somebody takes a shot, you answer back.

I try to keep it clean and on the issue. Some get a little wound and there are a few personality differences.

My problems with (someone) stem from the fact she doesn't like dissent and I'm willing to link to stuff to back up my views. She does, too, occasionally, but she wants us all to buy the idea the Whigs are on our side and that McConnell, Ryan, the Bushes, and people like Bill Kristol are the good guys. She wants people to believe the Whigs gave Trump the nomination. As a great American tunesmith once observed, it ain't necessarily so.

YMMV

The point is a couple of people seem think we're playing games and can't seem to get the idea the mere thought that Assange may have been snatched by an American government because he is trying to put before the American people information that no one else would tell them is pretty scary.

They dislike Donald Trump because he won't be a "gentleman" and let Frumpty and the media walk all over him.

It's why I like the guy.

XRay said...

Yes, MMMDV. And it does.

Argue the facts and not the person. And in my estimation none of us truly know the facts. We know suppositions, innuendo, biased media (including blogs), and the lies upon lies of our government, our academia, and little else. None of that, IMO, reserves the right to denigrate another person for holding contrary views.

edutcher said...

It seems to me we on the Trump side are far more on the receiving end.

XRay said...

I don't see that. Maybe elsewhere, but not here. Here, it seems to me anyway, is pretty much two against one, with an occasional side slip to another. Just be a man about it and not worry about slings and arrows. Hold to your shield, and those of your fellows. With the rare exception those behind you, who may think differently, are not your enemy. As they are behind you, not in front of you.

edutcher said...

Can't be responsible for what people see.

You don't spend a lot of time here and you do tend to favor the alternate view.

bagoh20 said...

"For some reason, she hates Donald Trump..."

Gee, that is so strange. Why would someone feel that?

edutcher said...

You tell me.

When it gets pathological, we're not talking the usual disagreements.

Unless she's really hot for him.

It is hilarious watching you obsess over me, "The one True Ted" and "Little Marco".

I'm laughing my ass off, at this point. Really - ed, stop wasting everyone's time and do something positive for your holy and precious candidate. (Links to "wishful thinking dot com" don't count) So far, you've managed to chase off 2 Trump voters here. You're not really a net positive for your guy. Might want to consider taking time for some introspection.
