My new favorite foreign leader tells it like it is!

Philippine President Duterte curses Obama over human rights

BBC.com  September 5, 2016
Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has called Barack Obama a "son of a whore", warning the US leader not to raise human rights concerns with him.
Mr Duterte was asked by a reporter how he intends to respond should Mr Obama ask about his war on the drug trade.
Hundreds of people have died in anti-drug operations since Mr Duterte won election despite international alarm.
He and Mr Obama are due to meet on Tuesday in Laos on the sidelines of anAsean conference.
Mr Duterte, who took office in June, has sanctioned the killing of drug dealers to try to wipe out the illegal drugs trade in the Philippines.
The UN has repeatedly condemned his policies as a violation of human rights. The Roman Catholic church, the dominant religion in the Philippines, has also criticised Mr Duterte.
But Mr Duterte said he is not concerned about the opinions of those observing his actions, adding that he would not take orders from the US, a former colonial ruler of the Philippines.
"You must be respectful. Do not just throw away questions and statements. Son of a whore, I will curse you in that forum," Mr Duterte told a news conference, referring to President Obama.
"We will be wallowing in the mud like pigs if you do that to me," Mr Duterte said.
Some 2,400 people have been killed in his war on drugs since he took office and he said there were more deaths to come.
"More people will be killed, plenty will be killed until the last pusher is out of the streets. Until the [last] drug manufacturer is killed, we will continue and I will continue," he said.
In August, two UN human rights experts said Mr Duterte's directive for police and the public to kill suspected drug traffickers amounted to "incitement to violence and killing, a crime under international law".
Asked whether he would still meet Mr Duterte and raise the issue of extrajudicial killings, Mr Obama said he was assessing whether a meeting would still be constructive.
"I always want to make sure that if I'm having a meeting that it's actually productive, and that we're getting something done,'' he said.

(This guy is the best. He said that he leads a sovereign country and if Obama tries to give him politically correct crap then he is going to tell him to go fuck himself. Of course everyone is telling Obama to fuck off. Look at what the Chinese did to him. Forcing him to get off Air Force One on the emergency slide because they wouldn't give him a stair case. A Hong Kong sucky fucky five dollar whore gets more respect.

This guy has the right answer to the drug problem. He is shooting the dealers and the profiters. When they asked him if this is going to continue he said of course since we haven't killed them all yet. In contrast Obama is releasing thousands of drug dealers and violent criminals from jail because they are black. It doesn't matter that they were convicted in a court of law. The fact that "there are too many blacks in jail" means he has to release them to prey on their communities. Obama and Hillary and the Democrats are the party of the criminals both domestic and illegal immigrant based. Their families are the major portion of their voting bloc and they have to service their clientèle.

In meantime we have to look to the Philippines for a road map as to how we should solve the drug problem.

Viva El Presidente Duterte!)

I'll let time pass the deciding vote on this. One notes that Mexico has done away with the death penalty, and their drug lords are imprisoned only until such time as they can arrange an escape. I believe that the mortality rate among drug dealers is much higher in Mexico than in the Philippines, but such deaths come almost exclusively by the agency of other drug dealers. Check it out in five years and see if Duterte's approach is more effective than the one in Mexico........There's a good possibility that both these approaches are varying types of wrong, but, as of now, Mexico is the bigger failure. They have, though, arranged their failure in such a way that all those dead bodies do not attract the attention of the UN or the sjw's.

"International alarm?" I slept right through it.

This guy Duterte must be alright considering that he causes "international alarm" by killing "people" - that's another howler from the BBC - when he goes after the drug trade.

And he said this about Barry before a scheduled meeting with The Snake? A wonderful sign of Barry's ever lessening consequence on the "international" stage.

Obama said he doesn't want the internet to turn into the "Wild West."

Well we need to turn a lot of things into the "Wild West."

One of things we need to do is hearken back to the lessons the Vigilance Committee in Virgina City taught us about dealing with criminals and murderers. Just sayn'

Since the G20 has turned into a group bitch-slap of Pissy by the 2 biggest Commie dictators in the world, why shouldn't the rest of the world join in?

As for the Filipino war on drugs, that's what ours should look like.

I'm assuming you mean Montana and not Nevada, but San Fiasco, back when it was the city of St Francis, is a better model.

IMHO

PS Frumpty shows up at the Cleveland Labor Day parade - at the end, no marching - has 4 1/2 minute coughing fit.

Looks like she's in training for the debates.

Lee Kuan Yew took the people of Singapore from grass huts to skyscrapers in one generation. He did this without the usual problems of developing countries and without the support of high minded westerners. He proposed and inflicted severe punishments on drug dealers and drug smugglers, often with the opposition of the world's press.......I've read that many leaders of the developing world now go to Singapore to study how he did it........There's chance that Duterte might end up being nothing but a loud mouthed bully who will bring his country nothing but ruin. But maybe not. Lee Kuan Yew got a terrible press when he was in power, but in the end he prevailed........I observe that Walter Lipmann and Theodore White praised the subtlety of Chou En Lai and criticized the corruption of Chiang Kai Shek. Taiwan under the Nationalists developed into a democracy with a higher standard of living than many Western European countries. Red China became Red China. I'll withhold judgment on Duterte for a bit. He's got a better record on human rights than the drug cartels.

I noticed your "shouting thomas" tag. This reminded me that Inga (loosely disguised as unknown) took a gratuitous swipe at filipino women and men who marry them on an Althouse thread today. Some things never change.
