Good contrast!

And now you see how much faster the NFL will decline. When I tell you all how utterly insidious that RMPC is, you can see what I mean with this larger encroachment into the NFL. RMPC attacks on the NFL are now everywhere, from penalties to protests to plays. Everything will run into an SJW filter and it's going to kill the game and people will walk away. RMPC is nefarious and it gets into everything. This is another example of what I meant by how conservativism is losing and has lost the fight. It's the movable object meeting the irresistible force and the immovable object lost.

Methadras: what does RMPC stand for?

I tried to google it but got "Regional Mark Processing Center," "Rocky Mountain Prostrate Center," and "Rheology and Materials Processing Centre"

I am guessing that those are not what you referring to.

It's the cause.

PS This has been coming for a long time. The NFL was declining when the players became thugs. It started with Joe Namath and his I'll-do-whut-I-want-and-I-don't-care-about -anybody-else attitude; another Willie Whitewater.

Franchises that respect the fans will survive. the rest won't.

Natural selection.

I parted company with pro football when the players' union and the strikes started.

Goodell is a PC weenie put in because everybody was afraid Pissy would call them racist. Now people are tired of them both.

Who the white guy be?

Otis. A talented man who died way too young. I almost got to see him in Memphis in the summer of '67, but it was not to be.

He would have been 75 now. Tempus fugit.

Otis died when his plane crashed into Lake Monona in Madison. If his plane had landed, he would have almost doubled the number of Negroes in Madison @ the time.

Too bad Sully wasn't the pilot. Enjoyed the flick last night. Like the movie Apollo 13, we know the outcome but it is still nerve wracking. That's good movie making.

RMPC means Radical Marxist Progressive Collectivism. Remember it whenever I use it.

Something something football something something player something something bug up his ass something something something. What? Nevermind.

I'm having too much fun to be provoked into non-fundum.

I designed and printed labels for 48 beer bottles and they came out rather nice. It looks like a Coors ad, Loveland pass in gold. it goes, centered over the Rocky Mountain photo

Name in largest typeface, most important
handcrafted light ale, smallest typeface, least important
Colorado Gold, middle size typeface. Second most important

In gold simple serifed typeface and stroked with black (outlined) so the gold letters set apart and ahead on gold, autumn, sunset photo.

Simple, elegant, regional, nothing funny, nothing artsy, just straight shoot'n ad-like and professional in appearance. Nothing goofy, nor silly.

It only took one trial to center the labels to print, one little tug in photoshop to correct all six labels on the sheet. How 'bout that? *puffs breath on nails, buffs on shirt* Huh?

The printer held out, although I ordered new cartridge for backup. The colors stayed true, did not fade as it went along. I was really sweating the thing would conk out, as they do.

I've been storing the ink cartridges taped back up and sealed in plastic in the refrigerator and bring them out for each job. That way Denver doesn't dry them out between uses. (A lady at the car repair garage told me about that. And it works. Great idea for low use printers.)

Not that it is news anymore that ESPN is crap; but when Tebow tried out for the Mets minor league; they actually debated whether it was an insult to baseball players for him to try out. Imagine if people said it was an insult whenever a muslim tried out for a sport.

Speaking of football, have you seen Harley Davidson's new-for-twentyseventeen-Milwaukee-Eight-engine? It's pretty sweet.

Mrs. Haz and I persuaded a sales lady at a nearby HD emporium to roll one off the showroom floor so we could take it out for a ride. Nice thing, it is. Smooth, powerful, quiet-ish. Big change from previous HD engines. Hard to describe, but think of Barry White reading Green Eggs And Ham on a still evening.

Really good new suspension also. Solid, connected; very non Harley.

For a compare we went to an Indian dealer and took out a '17 Roadmaster. Another luxo barge motorcycle, complete with a glass dashboard like you'd pay a bushel basket of hundreds to have installed in your airplane's cockpit if you had an airplane, which I don't. Nice bike. The engine has gobs of torque; enough torque to pull Lena Dunham out of a buffet line, twice.

Nice rides, and it's comforting to know such things are still built in America, even if they have two wheels, no roof, and cost more than the best most optioned Honda Civic you can own.

The Dude said...

Whoa, that's a lot of torque!
