Past Espys (1998)

I believe this kind of humor is practically dead in mass media. Is that a good thing, bad thing or indifferent for American culture? Discuss.

What's bad is ESPN today. Which is why I don't watch it.

Norm's jokes did not all land, but they were jokes and people did not freak out over them. How far we have fallen.

Bill Bradley had a smug look on his face and Griffey was stone faced. Celebrities can't take having their balls busted. Well, some can. But most bristle. Ricky Gervais, and asshole himself, really pisses the crowd off @ the Golden Globes. Next year they have the alcoholic, ass kisser, Jimmy Fallon.

I have put up an ESPN post with sums up my feelings. I have not turned on ESPN in five years.

I get my sports news off the internet. I just wish I could cancel ESPN.

The streaming services like Hulu and Netflicks are starting to offer steaming of channels like HBO and Showtime. If they can figure out how to live stream certain channels I might cancel cable TV all together. I really only watch shows I have DVR'ed or the streaming channels.

Cable TV will soon be as dead as the big three channels. Streaming is the future.
