Thank God for you that is all I can say!

Cuckservative: I'm a hero. I was shot twice in the Tribune.
Lickspittle media troll: I read where you were shot five times in the tabloids.
Cuckservative: It's not true. He didn't come anywhere near my tabloids.
Lickspittle media troll: Thank God for you that is all I can say!

Actually, the opposite of the link is true.

Even NeverTrumper holdouts like PowerLine seem to be coming around, especially in the wake of the San Jose rioting, finally realizing what the alternative to Trump would be.

As I said, this election will be event-driven and this is another event working in The Donald's favor.

Hasn't the "cuckservative" meme been worn out? It really didn't make much sense to begin with.

Another reason why David French is unelectable: the beard. Americans haven't elected a President with a beard since 2008.

We may do so again in 2016 if the #NeverTrumpers prevail.

I don't use the term because I don't get the humor or the pun. I understand what cuckoldry is but it's very gender specific.

Who is "they"? Everyone who reads this blog has heard that word repeatedly, both here and elsewhere. What reaction do you expect?

Evi L. Bloggerlady said...

I do not use the term because the alt right uses it in the context of a black man screwing a white woman (while her white nebish husband watches from a closet). It is apparently a popular sub genre in porn. To me it is completely counter productive--so many on the right are not into Trump...so you call them Cucks? Are you telling me there is no legitimate reason to reject Donald Trump as a candidate?

I figure as the election moves toward November, you might want to persuade some of these #NeverTrump folks to say, "damn, I really don't want Hillary, maybe I should pull the lever for Trump" but instead lets just keep calling them Cucks because that will increase support for Trump in November.

Trump needs to focus on peeling off Hillary voters until he ends up with more votes than she gets electorally. Once he wins, that is the best response to guys like Krauthammer and Goldberg-with a successful Trump Administration. Or am I missing something?

Evi L. Bloggerlady said...

Cuckservative does not draw blood, it just increases dislike for Trump among people who could potentially support him (however reluctantly) and increases the chance of Trump losing. That is why it is stupid.

Evi L. Bloggerlady said...

It is the over reaction of the left to Trump which should be the issue with drives people to support him over Hillary. San Jose helped Trump. The Democrats and their lunatic supporters are helping Trump win.

So why, as a Trump supporter, would you want to interfere with that?

Evi L. Bloggerlady said...

Biggest Losers

You know what will make them bigger losers, Trump's victory in November.

The "cuckservative" meme is NOT directed at 60 y/o conservatives. Its an insult that stings and resonates with younger conservatives.

Its a rhetorical device. RINO has lost its power, this is the replacement.

It fits people like Erik Erickson and Leon Wolfe to a tee.

rcocean said...

I find the whole controversy about it absurd. People like Erickson call Trump and his supporters "Fascists" "Racists" "Xenophobes" and call Trump "Drump".

But if Tump supporters use the word "cuckservative" that brings out the tone police and the pearl clutching moderates.

Trooper York said...

Rc is right. It is a label. An offensive label. A label like racist and sexist and fascist. One that fits by the way. Cuckservatives would rather get screwed by the protected groups than stand up to them. They talk about Trump's tone. How he has to be mealy mouthed like Romney. How he has to lose but like a gentlemen. That Alt-right rejects that. Definitely. Offensively.

These Qusilings will come on board for monetary reasons. You don't need to kiss their ass. Miss Lindsey Graham and the Paul Ryan are already on board. They are worms and don't deserve anything but the back of you hand. It is more important that they don't upset their liberal media friends than we do things that help regular Americans.

chickelit said...

I need a definition for the "alt right". I'm guessing it's anyone opposed to what were once RINO's?

Trooper York said...

The alt-right is a group of commentators, bloggers and activists who do not subscribe to the surrender tactics of the conservative intelligentsia as defined by the nancy boys of the NRO and the Weekly Standard. They are nasty, vulgar and provocative. Headed by people like Milo, Vox Day, Gavin McInnes and others who are tired of the liberal bullshit and want to give back to them with both barrels.

They are derided as racists and white supremacists by the scumbags like David French and Kevin Williamson.

I think they will form the intellectual underpinning for the new Nationalist Populist Republican Party if Trump wins.

Trooper York said...

The are the new guard. The old timers in talk radio like Levin and Beck are feeling the heat because they are about to be replaced. That is why they are attacking so savagely.

Rice bowls once again my friend. Rice bowls.

"Up yours, it's my way or the highway" is not a way to win hearts and minds. Nor is using a juvenile sexual reference.

Evi L. Bloggerlady said...

Troop, I do not consider Coulter or Milo the "alt right" Coulter is a whore who goes where ever the wind is blowing to promote her next gig. Milo is actually funny although that "daddy" Trump thing is sort of creepy.

I do not have a problem at all with a new guard taking over from the old guard. It is time for that to occur.

I consider the alt right those racist and antisemetic fucknuts (they are really a tiny minority). Unfortunately for your whole cuckservative rallying call, they coined and adopted it.

But beyond that stuff, if you really want Trump to win in November, shouldn't that be the focus right now? Even Newt criticized Trump today, does that make him a Cuck too?

Evi L. Bloggerlady said...

I argue about that fascist Nazi crap all the time at RedState. A few of those moderators are unhinged completely by Trump. Yes that is wrong.

But using Cuckservative right now does not help Trump. He won the nomination. RedState, David French and NRO are not the target anymore (they are basically irrelevant to the general election), move onto taking on Hillary and Bernie and sowing division with the Democrats.

By doing that he further marginalizes #NeverTrump and makes it even less relevant. If Trump is busy going hammer and tongs on Hillary, sort of hard for real conservatives to criticize that. And Libertarians and low information voters might learn a thing or two on how fucking bad Hillary is.

chickelit said...

I think Newt misread Trump, as I tried to explain over at your blog. Trump wasn't calling out the judge's citizenship; rather, he was calling him unAmerican.

But "UnAmerican" is a wholly pejorative term, perhaps because McCarthy Era excesses.

Tucker Carlson (whom I heard labeled a "cuck") said as much back in January:

Consider the conservative nonprofit establishment, which seems to employ most right-of-center adults in Washington. Over the past 40 years, how much donated money have all those think tanks and foundations consumed? Billions, certainly. (Someone better at math and less prone to melancholy should probably figure out the precise number.) Has America become more conservative over that same period? Come on. Most of that cash went to self-perpetuation: Salaries, bonuses, retirement funds, medical, dental, lunches, car services, leases on high-end office space, retreats in Mexico, more fundraising. Unless you were the direct beneficiary of any of that, you’d have to consider it wasted.

Carlson was calling "rice bowls" on the GOPe. And then, from the same Politico piece:

On immigration policy, party elders were caught completely by surprise. Even canny operators like Ted Cruz didn’t appreciate the depth of voter anger on the subject. And why would they? If you live in an affluent ZIP code, it’s hard to see a downside to mass low-wage immigration. Your kids don’t go to public school. You don’t take the bus or use the emergency room for health care. No immigrant is competing for your job. (The day Hondurans start getting hired as green energy lobbyists is the day my neighbors become nativists.) Plus, you get cheap servants, and get to feel welcoming and virtuous while paying them less per hour than your kids make at a summer job on Nantucket. It’s all good.

That was scathing -- and still true.

Michael Haz said...

Carlson nailed it. Thanks for posting that quote, Chick.

chickelit said...

Thanks, Haz.

I wrote...Tucker Carlson (whom I heard labeled a "cuck")

This isn't the French Revolution; it's the anti-"French" Revolution. So, no need for guillotines and labeling everyone in sight a "cuck." There needs to be some cohesion.

Trooper York said...

I beg to differ Haz. Using a juvenile sexual reference is exactly the way to connect with the vast majority of the American Public. It is using ridicule to demean your opponent. Just as tea bagger was used to demean the tea party. You know what? That worked. You know who signed on to that? The same Republican establishment that is the backbone of #Nevertrump.

I am tired of being told we have to be "better" than the other side. That we have to be the adults in the room. Screw that. We have to win. Period.

chickelit said...

Obama was the most prominent, mainstream politician to use the term "teabagger." Who were some of the "cucks" who used the term?

chickelit said...

Cupping his nuts during the Pledge, giving people the finger on stage, using the term "teabagger" -- you have to admit that Obama did way more to lower the decorum of the Office than any predecessor.

rcocean said...

That you would dislike it- MH - is not surprising. You're not the target audience.

The target is young people who want to fight the left and the traitorous Republican moderates. They don't want to be "nice" and "reach out to moderates". They're tired of "taking it" - they want to fight back and "dish it out".

Michael Haz said...

Who is the target audience, then?

This is not a widely read blog - it has perhaps 25 regular participants. It does not shape opinions. It's a small group, and in my opinion, it's foolish to call each other names.

Me, I'm not calling anyone here a name. I'm calling Erickson, Leon Wolfe, Lowrey, Goldberg, Kristol, Romney, and French a name. And that name is "Cuckservative".

I'd call them RiNO's but in a party that seems to be run by McConnell, Ryan, Romney, Jeb, and McCain - that's debatable.

And the target audience for "cuckservative" is right of center types under 40.
