"Customs officers find burritos contain meth, no guac"

UPI: A narcotics-detecting canine alerted officers to the presence of drugs and a search determined the woman was carrying more than a pound of methamphetamine in two packages that had been wrapped in tortilla shells to make them look like burritos.
Officers estimated the meth had a street value of more than $3,000.

Come on, I'm worth more than a 3k burrito.

You can tell right off that doesn't taste good.

And these avocados are evanescent things. They're the April rose that only grows in the early Spring. Over time across days they go: hard, hard, hard, hard, hardriperotten. And there goes your idea for avocado salad into the trash. You've got about ten minutes of good opportunity. Look, there's one doing it right now. It's like use it RIGHT NOW or forget it.

Chip, there is nothing better though when you catch one of them at the perfect time. I like making the guac with something other than lemon or lime, like orange or grapefruit.

I know lots lots of law enforcement people, from Feds to state to local, including prisons. I don't know any Border Patrol people. I would love to sit down w/ some and hear some of their war stories.

Evi, They were practically giving avocados away in SoCal this year. Back when people discovered this marvelous fruit a couple decades ago, farmers started new orchards. The new orchards are now bearing fruit. Combine that w/ NAFTA, and fruit pouring north from the south, and you have a buyers market.

Finding a perfect avocado is marvelous. However, I like to produce my own perfect ones. I buy them when they're hard. Ones I need soon, I put in a paper bag. The rest I put in the fridge. The paper bag ones are perfect in 3-5 days. The fridge they take much longer, a couple weeks. A simple rotation system gives you perfect ones every time. I start the rotation the first day I get to San Diego. My bride makes a great guac. Very simple. I like the orange or grapefruit idea. I'll suggest it. I LOVE grapefruit. However, I take a statin and can't eat them every day as I would like. Being diabetic, grapefruit are a good, low glycemic, source of vitamin C. But, they increase the potency of the statin. Weird, I know. But, I have 2 or so grapefruits a week. My doc says it's fine.
