"Beyoncé’s sportswear line reportedly made in Sri Lankan sweatshop"

NY PostBritain’s The Sun on Sunday said its investigation found that the star’s Ivy Park label, featured in Topshop stores, is made by Sri Lankan seamstresses paid only $6.17 a day.  A 22-year-old sewing machine operator told the newspaper that she lives in a 100-room boarding house near the factory in the town of Katunayake.
“All we do is work, sleep, work, sleep,’’ she said.
The young woman said she can’t survive on her salary of $125.30 a month.
That’s just a bit over half the Sri Lankan average monthly income of $235.49, according to the newspaper.

These people don't care. They don't give a fuck. As long as the low hanging fruit keeps buying their shit and they keep proclaiming how globally sensitive they are and no one looks under the sheets, they don't care. Beyonce is a gag. She's a cartoon character. Her whole schtick is about black and female empowerment. YES!!! You consumers of her are empowering her wallet and you do it lovingly because she is hitting all your buttons. She's a tired joke of herself now.

Nobody hates and despises the Beyonce Black Lives Matters savages more than me. However to be fair she is getting a bum rap here.

She is just a celebrity knucklehead who licensed her name to garmentos who make this stuff. She has no real involvement. Of that I am sure. They present designs to her and she might pick one over another. But she doesn't deal with the nitty gritty of production. So she has no idea where it is made. The crux of the matter is what she does now. Just like Kathy Lee Gifford had a come to Jesus moment this is Beyonce's chance to show us what she is made of. She can be appalled and demand that her clothing be made in the USA. Perhaps even in impoverished areas where she could put Americans back to work. I am not optimistic but I will give her the benefit of the doubt until we hear her response.

You might have a reasonable point, were she not always in our face about one thing or another - race, poverty pimping, and so on. If she is going to lecture us she needs to be purer than Caesar's wife. And since she is married to Joe Camel, she is not.

Well Sixty she is just a garden variety hypocrite. I would much rather hammer her for supporting criminals and their actions with her support of Black Lives Matters.

I have some experience with celebrities endorsing clothing lines or more properly having their own lines. We were working for a while with the people who handle The Countess from the Real Housewives, Rachel Ray and Marie Osmond. They really have very little to do with production.

There are a ton of things to call out Beyonce on. Lack of talent and the ability to sing chief among them. I always thought of her as a glorified stripper. Not a musical talent like Adele or even Christina Aguilera. Even Pink puts her to shame. She is the modern day Madonna.

Mick Jagger said something about Madonna that really applies to Beyonce: "She is a thimble full of talent in an ocean of ambition."
