"Hillary Paid Herself $250,000 From Campaign Funds"

Free Beacon: Federal campaign finance records reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon found that starting in April 2015, the month that Clinton launched her campaign, thousands in payments began flowing to the candidate.

The first transaction from Hillary for America to Hillary Rodham Clinton came on April 13, 2015 in the amount of $74,042. This transaction was filed under ‘Payroll & Benefits’ with a separate payment of $1,488 for ‘Employee Benefits’ that same day, according to FEC filings. On April 14, just one day later, $744 went to Clinton marked as employee benefits.
The next in a series of payments to Clinton did not occur until later in the year.
All told, payroll and benefits transactions to Clinton have totaled $254,447 since the launch of her campaign.
No other candidate running for president recorded payments to themselves, FEC files show. Donald Trump reimbursed $410,000 to himself and other Trump entities for payroll expenses, rent, hotel, and restaurant bills in December, according to reports.
While it is legal for candidates to pay themselves from campaign funds, the rule was established and intended for candidates who are not well off and quit their jobs to run for political office.

Is it finally clear to everyone the only reason the Clintons constantly seek power (and never go away) is to keep the money flowing?

No lack of chutzpah there.

I can’t believe any Clinton supporter would care. If they have stood by her thus far, then skimming a ¼ mil is nothing.
I can’t believe any Clinton hater would be surprised. Nothing new in this type of totally legal and totally crummy behavior.

What I am unsure about is everyone else- Are there any people who are neutral on HRC? Do you know anyone who has not made up their mind?
Other than totally non-political people who would see this story and say “Well that is just going too far! I can’t vote for her now!”

It’s a little funny to me when conservatives rant about how the media is helping her, of course they are helping her, but even if this story gets buried (and it will) who would have had their mind changed?

My question is why do you think this is wrong? What's the problem? I always assumed that the candidate paid themselves out of their campaign funds. It is certainly a much more honest transaction than charging expenses to the party the Marco Rubio way.

I can blame Hillary Clinton for a lot of stuff. This is not one of them. Dare I say it. This is very honest of her. Good job Hills.

Trump v. Cruz posts generate many comments. Live issue.
Hillary v. the Law posts, not so much. Business as usual. Dead issue.

People donating to the Clinton campaign assume their donations are going to be used to promote Clinton as a candidate, not line the capacious pockets of her pantsuit. Maybe you saw the reference to Trump and started ramping up to defend, but Trump reimbursing himself for campaign funds he put up is not the same as paying himself out of donations directly. Totally fine with Trump reimbursing himself.

I am totally fine with a candidate paying themselves out of campaign funds. It is much more honest than skimming off the parties accounts the way Little Marco does. Just take a salary so everyone knows what you are doing.

Hillary did the right thing. For once. She was open and above board in her greed. Good on her.

The support for Trump that will end up as support for Hillary is moving ahead as I have foreseen.

Thank you, MSM.

Candidates can also make charitable contributions from campaign funds. Here's one that Hillary made which shows how she's a detail oriented person who always plans ahead.
