Since the Taste-O-Matic is busted, we can't tell, but the look ain't too cool.

Your Taste-O-Matic, or the world's?

I'll take that look over anything the pop-music-candy-wealth Cyrus-Gaga world has to offer.

Those ear-rings are fab, baby. fab.

I agree, the earrings make it :) Not that I'm completeley on board, but, it's pretty hard to find stuff on Sartorialist that comes close to making the grade. I've book-marked six or seven...I'll post them occasionally.

For me where she misses is with the light blue t-shirt...or does she?? What would I replace it with...on her, because I wouldn't get away with the glitter vest lol.

She's a fresh faced tea drinker with cute ear-rings, and a conservative outfit. I like it.

I don't agree that it's the earrings that make the outfit. It's the gold leafy vesty thing that gives life to the otherwise kind of boring combination of blues.

Yes, it works. And if we met on the street, as happened the other day before the storm right at the corner, I'd have a chance to say, "I have a bunch of belts that will pull all that together. Since you're dressing like a boy. Your size too. C'mon, let's try 'em."

Looks like a pretty mouse with giant earrings and very high waisted jeans. The high waisted jeans are not a good look, nor t-shirt under sweater vest under blazer. Too much work, too much piling on. I prefer a more natural, less planned ensemble. The less coverings, the better. Those Sartorialist photos always look a bit pose-y, like "who, ME? I just walked out the door looking like the latest micro-mini-trend that is being pushed by fasion mags in order to sell ugly clothes." Sometimes the photos are spectacular but mostly they are meh.

As a look that a guy wouldn't take a second look at?

Yes.

The sloping shoulders really work.

I don't understand the question.

Does what work?

For the stalkers among us.

I was once doing the tourist thing in Palm Beach, just walking around, and I found myself walking behind a mother and daughter who were obviously to the manor born. Anyhow, they were both wearing simple to the knee (from my perspective back of the knee) navy dresses with the slightest understated row of white stars or white scallops (I can't remember which) that circled the dresses no more than two inches above the hem line. Wow. Talk about elegant. And when you stop to think about it it was practically nothing, just the slightest hint of white ringing the navy dresses not at the hem but slightly above the hem. Fashion - when it's right - is art.

And no, I didn't stalk them and have my way with them in the bushes. Whattsamattawityou?

Since I found out about Sartorialist I have seen two people I would especially photograph.

I'd rock that outfit, and then I'd build you a new porch.

I'm with you Deb. I get it, but I just don't like most of it. Then again, I know as much about fashion as I do stamp collecting.

Cute face. That's #1. Everything else, whatever. That's fine. What's she think about stuff? That's what I want to know if it works.
