Spike in heroine overdoses

This morning thirty seconds off mute allowed the morning show on FOX featuring a report about an alarming spike in heroin related deaths. Apparently the number has doubled, in New York, at least. Brian Kilmeade is hosting a concerned guest, on screen is displayed a photo of a suburban woman in happier times with her husband dwarfing her beside him. By his manner of dressing in the photo chosen to represent him and his grooming he does not look like the kind of person who would pursue heroine or die from overdose of heroine. Kilmeade's attention and the camera turn to the woman who no longer looks anything like the woman in the photograph and who has since become active in getting the word out about the spike in deaths due to heroine overdose. The moment the camera turns to the woman all viewers across the nation know instantly what happened.

The woman looks exactly like this, it may seem a simple sketch, it's actually more of a camera-like representation except she has hair and a nose and ears. And a neck. And chin and cheeks. Eyebrows and forehead. But this is all you see.

Her eyeliner drove the poor men to distraction. Madam, the mystery is solved.

Maybe we do need women in combat.

Heavy eyeliner is an odd cultural thing. A few years back I went to the beauty counter and they talked me into a make-over. I left looking like a hooker.

Heavy eyeliner on women under a certain age is OK if you can carry it off. As we gals get older, it generally looks horrible.

Be Careful What You Wish For

Ol' King Kohl was a merry old soul
Asked
His Queen to apply the mark of Kohl
That
His kingdom her eyes shine the starriest --
Took
One look ran screaming into the foriest.
