Hillary Clinton Takes Andrea Mitchell's Advice: Tries On Angry

A visibly angry Hillary Clinton just went off on Republicans for their Benghazi investigation

I guess she just doesn't get that much of that anger comes from her and her party. So if she angries back, she'll be met with more anger.

Clinton and her supporters are saying that we don't need to know the truth about Benghazi if it's gonna hurt Hillary. It's just not worth it.

And that's true if you have the right set of values.

Last time she tried angry the what difference does it make quote came out of her mouth. I don't think that was very likable of her.

She corrupt but competent. Competently corrupt.

I was enraged over the Benghazi fuck up, but it won't necessarily destroy her chances. I think it will come down to a battle of the TV ads, playing over and over and over 'at this point what does it matter,' vs. whatever they come up with against the other guy/gal.

It will be decided by a very narrow swathe of swing voters. The low information voters will wash out evenly for both sides.

I see Insty hitting heavy with the disgruntled middle class angle...MARS (there has been a steady decline in their piece of the pie since the '70s). Maybe a Trump Republican nomination isn't out of the question.

Joe Biden, America's Putin said...

I think it would be nice if both sides agreed: Enough Clinton and Bush.

No more. Really - out of 300+ million people we can't escape the Bush-Clinton paradigm? Insanity.

deborah said...

Yes. The powers that be might think it's cute to run the two dynasties (both neoliberal) and not give the voters an actual choice, so the Trump phenomenon is very interesting.

ampersand said...

And the stupid party does it again. Their nominal leader, McCarthy, implies the only reason for investigations is to get her poll numbers down.

Drag her ass weekly in front of that committee, She was selling guns to Isis, make her eat it. Make her eat the refugee crisis.

Save every byte of angry Hillary video, play it over and over and over in politicals ads.
Let the public have it's fill.

Madame Mao tried angry also, then was carted off to life in prison.

The reason Rodham will never pay the price for her obvious illegalities is the unspoken agreement among the powerful that those inside the buttercup will never be thrown out of the buttercup. This is true in every power sphere in America - a perfect example would be the financial crisis of 2008 when those responsible, the central bankers whose insane gambles had caused the crisis, were relieved of all responsibility by those inside the federal government buttercup, the price shifted onto the great shlub army, i.e. us - and has been true for decades: the sure sign of a sclerotic society. Rodham may not win the presidency but it is a certainty that she will never wear an orange suit.

deborah said...

Ricpic, yes. The banksters got off scott free, while small beans Martha Stewart went to the slammer. The Watergate break-in men went to jail, no one high up did.

Currently David Patreus, who showed his mistress classified documents is being run up the flagpole for stepping in in Syria(?) I forget. He is such a god-awful shit.

Dunno. But Huma will be her Svengali. There will be no men in her inner circle.

deborah said...

Are you implying she's lesbo man-hater?

chickelit said...

I don't know about the lesbo part but it's clear she doesn't care for men. Every time she opens her mouth to speak it's about women and girls and womens' issues. She panders to exactly one half of the electorate. As the parent of a son and a daughter, I'm sensitive to that balance. So screw her and her lopsided politics.

ricpic said...

"There will be no men in her inner circle."

Reminds me of the time Nixon was being interviewed by Her Royal Highness, Barbara Walters. After about ten minutes of the kind of fluff-ball questions she specialized in Nixon said, "Can we please discuss something serious?" Those weren't his exact words but that was the gist. OMG the reaction! She huffed and puffed and practically exploded with "How dare you insinuate that I'm not a serious person, I'll have you know blah blah blah blah." Of course he gave in, agreed he had overstepped, practically begged forgiveness.

Get ready for a four year koffee klatch if Rodham is elected, with a few obsequies men in her administration daring to get any serious business discussed, nevermind acted on.

ricpic said...

Oops, obsequious.

Amartel said...

When is this woman NOT angry? That's her default. The fact that she has sat around learning how to project this anger is just pitiful.

"i didn't think someone could be worse than obama. I was wrong."
It'll be a different kind of wrong and it will be compounding on 8 years of Obama wrong. So it will be just hideous and awful should this horror come to pass.

edutcher said...

Every time this comes up, especially if it means air time, it's bad for her and another nail in the coffin.

It also means somebody who was previously worried only about the size of Kim Cardassian's behind has finally heard about it.

deborah said...

I was enraged over the Benghazi fuck up, but it won't necessarily destroy her chances.

If she's still trying to get it behind her, it's still a threat, so it still can bring her down

(my blushes, Watson, deborah swears?)

(tell it not in Christendom, Holmes)

Joe Biden, America's Putin said...

The thing about Benghazi is - THE LIE HASN'T CHANGED.

The talking points they used (Rice-Obama-Hillary) were all bunk from the get-go. They blamed A VIDEO. They blamed some obscure film maker whose film had nothing to do with anything. Then they stuck him in prison.
Of course the hack press dutifully reported those lies and still to this day haven't gone back to fix the record. Not even on page 34D.

My favorite part of this whole thing is where Geordi says, "There ya go, Data. Your emotion chip is in." And Data goes around well chuffed with feeling things all over the place until they encounter the Borg on their ship and now in direct confrontation Data pisses himself with apprehension and speaks nervously going all Barney Fife in a moment of crisis where levelheadedness is required and Picard goes, "Data, now would be a good time to deactivate that emotion chip." Data blinks and carries on emotionlessly and the whole audience goes, "Yay!"

BTW all three networks news had something on the Oregon shooting with an immediate follow-up for Angry Hillary's reaction. They also used Stupid McCarthy's quote to validate Angry Hillary's anger.

deborah said...

Chick I highly doubt she hates men. Amartel, I don't think she's always angry. I think she has a pretty good sense of humor. We shall see as things progress. Here's a very brief clip of her talking with Matthews, who asks her to come on his show...after he's been trashing her all 2008 campaign season:

chickelit said...

@deborah: You must have missed that press conference where Rodham first broke her silence about the emails. She went on and on about women and girls.

Imagine a male Presidential candidate who went on and on about helping men and boys, Or a black candidate who went on and on about helping just black people. The country is in bad shape regarding employment, world stature, etc. There is no place for that kind of tribal grandstanding. Let me give you another example. I was a member of the American Chemical Society for most of my active science career. I resigned after the society elected a feminist editor for their news magazine and decided that getting as many woman and minorities into a dwindling profession was a priority.

And yes, you can call this a grumpy old men's club -- but I can call your favorite candidate a partisan bitch who will not help this country in its time of need.

chickelit said...

What Hillary did around the time of Benghazi was unconscionably partisan. She, like Susan Rice, lied to people about the causes and lack of foresight. Instead, she defended the video idea to protect a sitting President up for reelection.

BTW, Rodham is perfectly fine moniker for Hillary because it symbolizes her nearly complete political divorce from her husband's policies. It also reminds me that Rodham has more in common with "Dunham" (both Lena and Stanley Anne) .

Joe Biden, America's Putin said...

Rodham. yeah media Rodham push is in full swing. I was wondering when it was going to happen.

deborah said...

lol Meth

Chick, don't put words in my mouth, please. But she might just get in. And you know why, yes, the same reason Obama got in. But as I said before, she's not a shoo-in, Benghazi or no. She's got baggage, she's not charming and handsome. But the media might give her a pass, and it WILL take the media. Then again, they might swoon for Rubio.

I detest identity politics, but as a politician, she will use any card she can just like Obama played the race card and Fiorina is playing the abortion card and Trump is playing the financial card. They're all dog-whistles for the primaries, especially.

I'll look at the vid now.

Perhaps the media can convince Americans that she never really had anything to do with Bill and his "rotten" policies. She is a complete, self-made woman.

News flash: politicians lie their asses off over anything. They know the electorate has a short memory.

Joe Biden, America's Putin said...

Money and power - that is all she cares about. How anyone can see a human in there, is beyond me.

How Hillary Clinton kept her wealthy friends close while at State Department

:The e-mail exchange, in which Soros warned of growing unrest in Albania, illustrates how Clinton interacted with major donors to her family’s causes during her tenure at the State Department, staying in touch with her political network before her 2016 run for the Democratic presidential nomination. And they show how these donors, some of them with interests before the U.S. government, gained high-level access to press their policy concerns inside the Clinton-led State Department.

Will her MSM hacks report any of this?

Joe Biden, America's Putin said...

There isn't a politician I can name who lies like Hillary.

saying "everybody does it" doesn't work with Hillary. Rodham sets the standard for all liars, cheats and sociopaths. for crying out loud - Soros is her biggest funder and he belongs in prison.

Joe Biden, America's Putin said...

Imagine if Madelaine Albright or Condi Rice - sold access for cash for their private foundations during their time as Head of the State Department.

Imagine!

deborah said...

Great Nixon voice, chick. So you actually have a problem with that very short, innocuous bit she said at the beginning about gender equality. Listen again and tell me what was so egregious and why it was inappropriate to mention it at the UN when the UN was recognizing improvements in gender equality?

deborah said...

Doesn't Jeb have a billion in his war chest? Remember Obama not properly checking credit card donations from overseas? Where do you think this money is coming from? They all do it.

Joe Biden, America's Putin said...

Jeb was a governor. Is there any evidence that he ever sold influence for the Jeb foundation?

deborah said...

Jeb is a Bush and has a billion in his war chest. How was all the obtained? No favors were exchanged, ever? It's politics, and that's why we're totally screwed now. It doesn't much matter which one wins.

Joe Biden, America's Putin said...

The point is - was Jeb working for the federal government and selling influence to his personal Slush Fund?

A campaign war chest is one thing - a personal foundation COMBINED with a private server that was installed UNDER the direction of Hillary herself - that's a whole new level of crime syndicate.

Hillary's willingness to tolerate Bill's compulsive philandering is a function of her general contempt for men. She distrusts them and feels morally superior to them. Following the pattern of her long-suffering mother, she thinks it is her mission to endure every insult and personal degradation for a higher cause -- which, unlike her self-sacrificing mother, she identifies with her near-messianic personal ambition.

Don't take offense unless my comment applies to you. I'm certain it applies to many, and I'm attacking that type of excuse making and reasoning. You seem to be saying some of the kind of things I hear people say right before they do the indefensible, and choose corrupt people to handle important responsibilities. Whether you believe it yourself or not is unknowable by me, but it's a warning sign not to be taken lightly when you I hear it.

deborah said...

Bags, your statement was made directly to me. But I accept your half-assed walk-back as a sign of good will. Thank you. I understand and take heed of your meaning. Here's to better times.

bagoh20 said...

No, it was not aimed at you personally. It was aimed at the logic which is ubiquitous and flawed. I have no idea what you think. Your responses ("can't keep it civil", and half-assed were personal.

Now isn't this crybaby civility bullshit fun and instructive. Don't jump to claim victim-hood and it won't go there.

deborah said...

Not into word games. I say what I mean in good faith. Call me anything you want, but don't misrepresent what I said or I'll call you on it.

Were the killers ever prosecuted? Last I heard, one of them had a sit-down chat with a NYT reporter and then radio silence. That's another oddity. Maybe they had something to say?

Joe Biden, America's Putin said...

A slush fund foundation and a private server belong to ONE political family. Saying "they all do it" is inaccurate.

What do you call it if the person you are hunting is actually a witch?

Hillary, It's not a witch hunt. It's a liar hunt. It is possible to be targeting someone for political destruction, and that person actually be corrupt. Therefore said targeting is appropriate and necessary. I know it's contrary to Democrat understanding of fairness, but corruption is wrong - exposing it is not.
