If you can't take the heat stay out of the kitchen!

Today's bullshit controversy is the Rug being disinvited from Red States candidate forum because he "insulted" Megyn Kelly by say saying she was bleeding "out of eyes. Bleeding out of her whatever."

Look I hate Donald Trump. As much as the next guy. I have about fifty posts on my blog with the tag "Donald Trump is a Douchebag." But if you want to play in the NFL you have to be able to take a hit. Megyn Kelly is a careerist news bunny first and foremost. A better looking Nancy Grace.  A pretend conservative Katie Couric. She is following Diane Sawyers career path. The first thing they would say about Sawyer was that she had worked with Nixon. But in fact she is your garden variety mainstream media liberal hose bag. Just like Megyn. There are approximately a million appropriate and important questions she could have asked the Rug. ISIS. The Ukraine. The Iran treaty. Baltimore and the attempt to force the delegitimization of the police by the Obama administration. Instead she went with "Does God talk to you" and "Why don't you approve an abortion for the health of the mother" and "Why are you mean to women?" Total bullshit.

She is like the hot bartender that all the losers praise and tip and think will be interested in dating when she doesn't give a crap about them. Doesn't even know that they exist.  Because she is only in love with the person she saw in the mirror.

Not to say that Wallace and Baier were any better. Fox better up their game. Big time.

I wonder whether Sawyer worked under Nixon? KnowwhatImean?KnowwhatImean?WinkWinkNudgeNudge.

I'd like to think so if only because Nixon deserved to get some pleasure out of that whore.

Heard an interesting speculation on the vicious Fox attack on The Donald and it was vicious. Anyway, the word on the street is that Hillary, or more specifically "Hillary's people" on certain congressional committees have Murdoch (Fox's new owner) by the short hairs. And he either cooperates or.....

Remember, you heard it first here. "Goodnight America and all the ships at sea!" to quote the great Walter Winchell.

I don't think it is anything more than the establishment Rhinos attacking a successful outsider. Just like they did to Palin. They are doing the Democrats work for them.

That's what rhinos do.

Apparently having debate topics in a GOP primary that matter to GOP primary voters is too much to ask. The national audience requires a clown show with stupid questions playing to progressive issues and presumptions. In a GOP primary debate. Ratings trump relevance.

I guess I'm not the next guy because I don't hate The Donald.

Don't know who I want yet, maybe Cruz, maybe Walker.

I do like what Trump is saying and showing the pussyfoots how it's done, but I'm certainly not wedded (metaphorically) to him, but, from what little I've read of Miss Megyn, Troop's call of her is on the money.

I think the order came from Murdoch. We know the Lefties are squeezing him because of some of the stunts his people pulled in Dear Old Blighty. Maybe they have a lot of nasty on him.

Somebody I think here said there's bad blood between him and Trump anyway.

I think it's more that than the Whigs.

Hell, Grahamnesty even stood up for him.

Possible

And it's, "Good evening Mr and Mrs North America and all the ships at sea!". His opening line.

Erickson has always been a weird loser who likes to attack anyone disliked by his current employer. It used to be CNN, when he went after Palin and Coulter and now its Fox, so he goes after 'The Rug'.

He's a phony White Knight.

People seem to forget that Murdoch is a foreigner with media outlets all around the world. He's a big supporter of Open borders. What Billionaire isn't?

He hates Trump because Donald is a traitor to his class.

And I swear Chris Matthews wrote Kelly's debate questions.

Trump is entertaining and it's really satisfying to watch him not care about all the sacred media cows. And then watch the sacred media cow herd fluster and fret. He reminds me a lot of Arnold Schwarzenegger who was also able to blow right by the media due to his celebrity, vast fortune and general charisma. He was blithely unPC (remember "girly men") and was swept into office in the middle of a sitting governor's tenure IN CALI. Quite an accomplishment. And then he had to govern and that didn't go nearly so well as it could have and should have.

bagoh20 said...

I don't think it requires some dark conspiracy. Fox is a business - they want heat. Light is not very marketable. The goal was to create a stir, any stir will do. It worked. They aren't number one for nothing, but I think this pisses off the wrong people.

bagoh20 said...

Arnold just simply caved after he put reforms on the ballot and the stupid people of California voted against every one. He said to hismelf: "if you can't beat em, join em",and became a girly man too. Kinda like Bruce Jenner, but less conservative.

GOPs have a good lineup. They want Trump out desperately. I follow only conservatives on Twitter, most are politically acutely aware, I follow the red states people, the ones who disinvited Trump, and other conservative writers and as one, in a unified effort, it's all out on Trump. The entire twitter stream is anti-Trump. Last night, and tonight too. My stream is an intolerable un-swimmable flood of antiTrump sentiment. They're ganging and attacking his supporters in the manner of liberals, I've seen a dozen nicknames, epithets, appellations, denominations, designations, unhappy agnomens, handles and monikers contrived for Trump supporters. Would be amusing were it not torrent. For peace I'd have to mute everybody temporarily.

Here, let's look, I'll scan and pick them out for a few pages:

Immediately: Not a pussy, a twatwaffle
Trump-bots
supporters are hopeless
Trumples
(T) a fucking joke
(T) runs to guy that pushed the Scailisese White Nationalist Conference story.
cockservative
(T) had nerve joking about M.K. being on the rag when he's the biggest pussy in America -- Agreed
Like Ron Paul followers on steroids, and acid
followers -- A whole different level of delusion
bragging about litigious he is, another conservative principle
Just like O, he makes his supporters feel good
cockservative cock block
talks about immigration but he's for amnesty
Stop giving Trumpets facts they can't handle them. Calling him conservative is a joke.
the fawning hero-worship for DT just has to...
Chameleon
You can't talk to Trumpets. Make Scientologists look reasonable.
Having tantrum, want revenge, and don't care about fixing the country
Same as Obama supporters. Same cloth #Dump Trump

That was one page.

And so on. Partisan Republicans are every bit as bad about this particular thing as partisan Democrats. They are all they project. There is so much wrong shit streaming through my twitter feed I could spend all night correcting and then they'd simply dismiss me Trumptard, as partisan Democrats do, for failing to fall in line and take the spoonfuls they dole. And they're impossibly infuriatingly self-defeatingly conservative!about everything except attacking their own side. Ew.

They could have had Trump at their confab. They could have used him to attract more national attention, as did FOX, but they do not want that type of attention, too fierce, unable to control it, Trump ruins their splendid lineup and sucks all the oxygen. They MUST drive him off so the reasonable candidates are heard, drive everyone off him, discourage his supporters, and they expect that support to flow naturally to another next likely candidate that failed to earn it from them directly. In the end, GOPe (establishment, it's a new thing) will most likely put forward Jeb, and these partisans will expect Trump (loyalists?) to follow and that is not going to happen. That apparent ineluctable course of events will mark the parting of the ways and the rapid dissolution of what was GOP useful to only a few loyalists and still reasonable logiclly-minded people.

You know what Trump's great sin is from the standpoint of the professional pols? Just that. That he's not a professional pol. He's not part of "Our Crowd." Also true of the way the professional pundits view him. Krauthammer finds Trump "amusing" but not REALLY serious. Why? Again, because he's not part of The Club. The Establishment Club. The Inside The Beltway Club. A great sin not giving off the right (as in correct, safe, our kind of people) vibes.

Which doesn't mean that's a reason to love Trump. But a breath of fresh air is...invigorating.

Great post Chip. Maybe I'm projecting - but I get the feeling that they're a lot of Republicans or former Republicans like me.

I'm just not interested in voting for another "lessor of two evils" candidate. I don't care that McConnell is 1 mm better than Reid. Or that Jeb will only be 96% as bad as Hillary. I'm willing to take a chance on someone who's in favor of change. We have real problems that need to be fixed and a status quo candidate isn't going to fix them. And I don't care if you have an "R" after your name. I'll stay home or I'll vote 3rd Party.

Trooper York said...

I am with you RC. Change or nothing. We need someone who will move the ball down the field. It is not Trump. But he deserves support right now in the early going for the enemies he makes. And the people he exposes.

Listen he is not going to spend his money to become President. No way. He is going to use other peoples money or he will drop out. But while he is here we can enjoy the eyes he brings to the debate.

If the Rhinos douchebags want to expose him then just ask policy questions that will expose him. Don't fight him on his turf. Social issues and pop culture are his wheelhouse. Ask him about the general from Iran who went to Moscow. Ask him about how many ships we should have in the navy. Ask him if he wants to federalize local law enforcement. Will he release felons and give them the right to vote. Use the IRS and the NSA and the EPA against his perceived enemies. Will he fund people who chop up babies for parts? There are a million legitimate questions that will establish whether or not he is a serious candidate. Not what he said about Rosie O'Donnell or Megyn Kelly or Joan Rivers or Amarosa.

I like Ted Cruz. Walker of course. Rubio is a possibility. I can get behind any of those guys.

But if it is Jeb I am taking a pass. Opting out. Going even more Galt than I already have.

It is a big mistake to make a play for voters who will never vote for a Republican. As much as I love Ritmo as a person he will never vote for a Republican. Nor would any black person who is not a Republican already because of their personal economic situation. Unfortunately the Jews mostly will not vote for the Republicans even though Obama is selling them down the river. It is just not going to happen and changing your programs to get their votes is a fools errand.

This is a base election. The Democratic base will be depressed in both numbers and enthusiasm if Hillary is the nominee. The Republicans have to get out their base in an electoral college based way to take advantage of those people who are naturally Republican.

Rabel said...

The Republicans don't need those angry, uncouth Trump supporters. They can win with the same coalition that elected McCain and Romney.

I AGREE. Those are horrid time-wasting questions.

If one more pol-bot-media-hack asks a question about abortion or God, I think I'll scream. The only abortion question that matters is: Do you support Gosnellian late term abortion? Yes or no. answer the fucking question. No diversions. No excuses. No buts.. NEXT>

I missed the debates. but i did notice that MSNBC and CNN are giddy at the idea that The Rug is going to run 3rd party and hand it to Hillary. What a mess.

Trooper you know more about Trump than I do. All I know is that the Establishment is going to ram another loser (aka Jeb) down our throats unless someone stops them.

So how can Jeb be stopped? Unless Conservatives come up with an answer and a candidate we're screwed.

I think Cruz is the only alternative, but people don't seem to like him. Rubio joined McCain's gang of 8 to support Amnesty, so I don't trust him. As for Walker, he's just a big question mark. He's the least objectionable candidate, but I'm suspicious. Usually, if the RINO's aren't attacking someone that means they're in the tank.

I could swallow Ricky Ricardo because I think his heart is in the right place. Mainly because of his Dad and his personal story. But that is a big maybe for me. I think he got his fingers burned with the amnesty bullshit and he might have learned his lesson. He is a young guy. You are going to make mistakes. I mean Reagen was a Union leader and a Democrat when he was a youte!

I will not automatically shut him off. I want to see if he can sing Babaloo for me. Then I will decide.

I have always hated Donald Trump. I hated his casinos. When I used to frequent Atlantic City I never gambled at any of his casinos.

That doesn't mean he isn't striking a chord. Obama has shown the way. It is all about tribes now. You have to get yours. Forget about reaching out to the other side. It doesn't work. They never reciprocate. They live on a one way street. The Republicans need to rally their base. And get white working class people who would vote for them to come out and vote. Trump is getting them to tune in to the debates and listen. Some of this might sink in. That is a useful thing to do.

Reagan went through all that stuff and got his eyes opened as SAG Pres. By '64, he had changed his entire outlook and it was 16 years after that before he was President.

We're talking a much smaller time frame here.

As for swallowing Ricky, Lucy tried that and all she learned was that he was good to the last drop.

Just sayin'.

If Bush gets the nom (gag) and Trump runs 3rd party, Hillary will win with less than 50% but she will win.
Bush getting the nom is probably a sure-fire loser to H anyway, - Trump is her Trump card.

Is it any wonder the pro-dem hack press are now all for Trump and his wonderful and thoughful supporters now?

Trump is not running third party. That is just bullshit. He would never spend the money it would take to do that. He would never raise the money it would take to do that.

So don't worry about it. It is just Chris Matthews wet dream.

If you folks think change will occur as long as the duopoly reins supreme, then you're fucking idiots. WE NEED MORE CHOICES THAN 2..ERR 1!! Trump is a Clinton Trojan Horse.

We only get 2 choices and 3 or more usually ends up badly.

And I don't think giving the Demos fits over one of their most unpopular stands is good strategery.

Willie might be dumb enough to try it (he really isn't that good), but Hillary is doing a grand job of self-destructing all by herself.

Maybe he's Biden's Trojan.
