Did you notice those two guys without any tattoos? Man, did they ever look out of place.

The thing is, what are environmentalists supposed to do, bring their own garbage bags in expectation of excess rubbish bin capacity like conservative tea party types do? Are you out of your minds? That's what government is for. That's what labor unions are for. Job security. We all fit and work together like gears.

Brilliant non-verbal photo sequence, Chip!

I need a frame of all the jets leaving Washington. Drat! Except instead of a straight line home, they all curve off instead curling like pubic hair then suddenly the whole thing is filled with enlarged planes overlapping, just nothing but planes, in sequence pure chaos and three times longer than the sequence of flights into Washington. Indicating they leave their trash. The verb of leaving, not just the result of them having left.

Well played, sir.

Chip Ahoy said...

You can see they tried. The grounds are not that bad, actually. But none thought in advance to make sure everything is carried off, as I believe the tea partiers do. I'm not sure. I keep reading that. And I think they keep reading that too (to their tremendous annoyance). So they tried. But only half way. Only so far as carry litter to the bin and that's it.

You know what? I was going to delete my comment at 9:12 because all I did was parrot Chip's clever point and I did it in a remarkably unremarkable, un-clever way.

But you know what? I'm going to leave it up.

Why? Because I should be punished.

I find it interesting that so many black celebs are on the tree-hugging bandwagon? I suspect they leverage their support of mostly white enviro whackjob ideas helps to keep the white enviro whackjobs in the Dem voting bloc.

The green movement is not green. It's all just a big party and chance to chest pound "look at me, I'm one of the cool kids."

...we hate carbon... the horrible pollutant carbon.

I'm wondering when they will label H2O as a pollutant?

It's true that they never clean up after themselves. Do they think there's a maid who will show up and clean in up for them?

@April: It all started back here

Chickie-

Look at all that trash. Same old same old, indeed. I like candle's comment about the bed-bugs. lol.

Subsubquestion is how did a Sicilian guy pass himself off as an American Indian to an entire generation?

OT, but I believe that Chip's friend narrated that famous commercial spot.

Let me known if you need to buy a vowel.

Interesting message your cutesy artsy post sends: Better to not raise awareness of a cause at all if it can't be done perfectly.

Which explains why your team never gets anything done. And doesn't know anything, either.

But hey! At least you're pure!

Bleach Drinkers Curing Coronavirus Together said...

I guess just hating the planet and the natural world wouldn't be as effective a message as the denigration of messages promoting careful stewardship of it. What an astute propaganda Chip practices!

I didn't realize he was, himself, anti-airplane or anti-trash disposal.

Not exactly a unilateral retort, R&B. :)

First world nations, which got there by means of at least partially capitalist economies, are the cleanest nations, environmentally speaking, of all. The real mind boggling pollution occurs in Schmendrik's communist paradises. So what the hell is he talking about? Nonsense as usual.

Chip Ahoy said...

Look, R&B, I usually don't bother responding to guy paid by the word in unlit cement wall Moscow basement but here, you make a better cleaner world by being better and cleaner not by flying around partying talking about -- raising awareness is it? -- Well that would beg the question doesn't it, about whose awareness needs raising.

Conservative. Conserve the things worth conserving and knowing the difference.

As a side note, have you noticed how touchy environmentalist get when you point out to them their leader chopped up his girlfriend and used her for compost? Oddly, even with that mark against him Einhorn is still a hero in France and to America's left who are either too young or too stupid or both to know about such things.

I'm glad my cutsie post got under your skin R&B I live for such moments. You made my day you little prick.

I've got other things on my plate at the moment, Emilio, but rest assured that your misery and the misery you believe you cause in others (and apparently, by your own words, live for causing) just shows how incapable you are of a serious, adult perspective. Your misery and self-loathing as a gay man who hates the fact that he's gay just won't be getting any company.

And that immaturity of yours is secondary to the obviously retarded, addled demand that promoting conservation requires abandoning all air travel immediately, or that anyone cares about a French fugitive. These are just things you imagine and dream up to make the people who actually bother and manage and care about doing some good in the world seem as warped in their understandings and as feckless in their actions as you.

You did, however, manage to talk about small dicks. As a gay man who hates himself, I suppose you are very familiar with small dicks and see them as less of a threat than the bigger dicks that you crave but can't handle.

What you're pissed about is effective organization. You couldn't effectively organize a birthday party for five year olds, and that includes providing them with the pointy hats that you'd have to open your trunk of dunce hat collection for and/or remove from your bum.

R & B ... that 2:37 PM response was beneath you. I suspect you know that.

I read both your comments and Chip Ahoy's and find both interesting...usually. There are several others' comments I skip entirely...and that one above comes close to those. You are better than that. And I am sure you know it as well as I do.

Bleach Drinkers Curing Coronavirus Together said...

Well AD, I appreciate your thoughts. But it's hard to know how to respond to someone so needful of negative attention - as Mr "Ahoy" is - that he doesn't care what kind of thought he'll put into his stances or interactions. Just that they provoke outrage.

Which of course they didn't. I only found his intentional thoughtlessness mildly annoying. And as he was the one to initiate references to "little pricks", I could only put 2 and 2 together and ask why the psychology of someone who would do that, in the context of his wanting negative male attention, wasn't the deeper issue here. And perhaps in general.

But you're right, and right to expect better behavior -- from me. I'm just not sure that such an expectation can be made of Chippendale.

@Aridog:

R&B's 2:37 meadiocrity [sic] was completely in character. I think you should know that by now. Ritmo has put down Chip's creativity for ever. There is a special animosity there. It reminds me of the Meade/Palladian frisson of yore.

That being said, R&B is clever with words and I too rarely miss a chance to learn something from his comments.

Bleach Drinkers Curing Coronavirus Together said...

I don't mind Chippie's creative use of media or his cooking - which he's much better at. I just don't see what favors he does himself or anyone else with his persistently anti-social anger and self-loathing.

I don't mean this in the same way I would just anyone with a melancholy streak. Normal people get down from time-to-time.

I mean a level of despair, self-confinement and emotional emptiness/frenzy that reminds one of Kurt Cobain. Or that Shirley Manson song, "I'm Only Happy When It Rains."

I'm glad he provides your crew with a necessarily spicy creative streak. I just think it's too bad, and honestly, worrisome, that he's got the emotional make-up of an angry 20th century dictator.

Even more worrisome that so many of you feel so well led by such a deliberate malcontent.

Sad people are harmless. People who misdirect their negative emotions overwhelmingly into anger, however, are very troubled, and need looking after in a way that's at least as cautious as it is concerned.

Man, they are pissed, even more than usual, and that's a LOT.
Can't take a joke. Can't even take a breath. (As usual, can't be bothered to address the substance of an opposing position.) Certainly does not have time to explain why your photo-documented and illustrated Earth Day observation justifies accusatory ramblings about sexuality. Much. Too. Busy.

Never too busy to call someone a closet case though. Fucking Scoldilocks of the Internet Harpy Mob does that in its sleep. It's like the old lawyer joke that if you nod off during trial just shout out "objection" upon waking. Exact same thing. Knee jerk reaction. Also, projection.

Bleach Drinkers Curing Coronavirus Together said...

IOW Amartel, you can't even deny the allegation. You're too busy denying the alligator.

How do we know that you're not the one doing the projecting here?

Claims of closetedness aren't true and aren't required; orientation is known. This issue is one of self-loathing. There actually is a difference, not that most Republicans would know it.

However, people who hate themselves usually hate more than just one thing about themselves.

Do you have an argument about the topic?
Do you know what it is about the post that makes you so angry that you need to attack its author?
Do you have something of interest to say about the topic of the post?
Do you have anything of interest to say at all?

The answer to all these questions is "no."

I thought the photo sequence was brilliant because Chip used only photos to say:

Look at the bill of entertainment and the venue: it says respect and honor the environment.

Look at an unnamed douchebag posing in front of what must be "his" jet. I presume the douce bag is one of the entertainers at the event. The photo screams Thorstein Veblen to me! Only one showing Al Gore in a similar pose would have more irony.

Look at what must be fans and family of said douce bag enjoy super quite "private" jet space on the way to DC to "honor" Earth Day.

Need I go on? That's off the top of my head. You should enjoy the satire R&B. It free and off first rate quality.

chickelit said...

What aspect of satire can you not see Ritmo? Are you bothered that some of Chip's targets are black?

The current crop of African Americans in the spotlight need satire therapy.

I just don't like the smug, falsely self-satisfied sneer it takes to think oneself better for dismissing a problem that others care about simply because they are not perfectionists.
