There’s Beyoncé and Madonna, Cher and Prince. And now Hillary.
It may not be exactly the same as the long list of celebrities known by their first names. But Hillary Clinton has become known simply as Hillary in bumper stickers and headlines, on Twitter and Facebook, around water coolers and in coffee shops.
Yet some Americans, mostly women, don’t think the former secretary of state, U.S. senator from New York and first lady should be called by just her first name.
“I think it’s pretty unjust,” said Monica Warek, 23, on a recent visit to Washington from New York City. “I think it shows the level of inequality that still exists in the workforce and just in general in society.”
As Clinton gets ready to kick off her campaign for the White House, some wonder whether calling a female candidate by her first name reinforces gender stereotypes.

I'm trying to not be a sexist. That's why I don't want Princess Clinton to become President. I became a racist when Obama won, and I don't want to be a sexist for the next 4-8 years. I just want a President who doesn't need to be coddled.
If she was cool, like you know who, she'd use HillaryD. But she's not cool, so call her anything that you want to. She deserves it.

So officious and overbearing and stupid - it's Hillary! trying to pull a Barack [I can say my middle name but you can't] Obama. All her bumperstickers from 2008 say "Hillary!" Is that sexist? These Dems and their objections to being called by their own actual names which they themselves use to market themselves. Hello, Barack Hussein Obama. Obama totally used the Hussein to convey that he was "new" and "different" and "foreign" but in a good way, to idiots who buy that sort of thing, e.g., Obama voters. Hey...now that Berni Sanders wants "free" college for everyone I want reparations. My tuition and costs circa 1965 as a locus, when I worked full time and went to school at night, adjusted to today's inflated values, will be fine. I await my check. :-)
