"DOJ: No contempt charges for former IRS official Lois Lerner"

"The Justice Department will not seek criminal contempt charges against former IRS official Lois Lerner, the central figure in a scandal that erupted over whether the tax agency improperly targeted conservative political groups."
Lerner, unsurprisingly, was pleased by the announcement. “Anyone who takes a serious and impartial look at this issue would conclude that Ms. Lerner did not waive her Fifth Amendment rights,” said Lerner’s attorney, William Taylor III, in a statement. “It is unfortunate that the majority party in the House put politics before a citizen’s constitutional rights.”

“Ms. Lerner is pleased to have this matter resolved and looks forward to moving on with her life,” Taylor added.

Republicans were disappointed by the decision not to move ahead.

“Once again, the Obama administration has tried to sweep IRS targeting of taxpayers for their political beliefs under the rug,” said Boehner spokesman Michael Steel, urging the White House to “do the right thing and appoint a special counsel to examine the IRS’ actions.”

Really? It seems to depend on who is the majority, you hack.

Got it...no charges for Lerner, nor Hillary (nor Miller, nor Koskinen, et al), but okay for Petraeus (who dared to say things not approved by the administration) and now Menendez (who also spoke out of turn it seems). Richard Pryor had it right: "Justice" is "just us" when it comes to opponents, however slight, of this administration. Lawd help us through the next 1.66 years.

Um, just because they don't do it now doesn't mean it can't be done later, does it?

I mean AG R Giuliani, serving in a Cruz Administration ought to be able to toss her ass in jail if the evidence is valid.

Along with Koskinen, "my people", IdiotBoy, et al.

Or do I need to go to TOP for a ruling?

Rumor has it that Obama has caved and will let Iran continue enriching uranium.

Between this and Reid, they're not even pretending anymore. Their angry zombie fanbots will believe anything to keep their delusional dream of superiority alive and, like Reid, feel that criminality, dishonesty, and use of public resources to further party politics is JUST FINE.

Told you so. Nothing will happen. Leftist criminality in government is not subject to prosecution. But, even thought Armitage outed Valerie Plame, Scooter Libby took the fall because on a set of standards so low of criminality that it makes Lois Lerner look like a fucking queen. Name me one person linked to any scandals under the Obama Administration that has either been prosecuted or indicted? All the talk of guys like Trey Goudy look like nothing but barking dogs with no teeth. Hillary can lie, delete mail servers, etc. and nothing happens. This country can't stand anymore when lies and corruption have eaten away at it's foundations and we, the keyboard warriors all come together at a place like this and jibber jabber about what a shame and a crock it is and all that stuff. It's futility in the face of a tsunami. Who do you think will win?

Eric Holder protects those who protect the delicate administration.

Obama needed Harry Reid's lies and the IRS as a weapon in order to win. How pathetic.

edutcher...you tempted me to take a brief peek at TOP. Now that they have two "donation" buttons (one says "subscribe," the other "donation"), all they need now is one one that just says: "Send us money, fool!"
