Oscar Snubs and Twitter Bust

Maybe there is something to it.

Maybe enough of the voters were quietly pissed at the acting out by the black grievance community that the white guilt vote didn't carry the day for a black actor/actress as it has in years past. In other words, a straight vote produced an unbiased result.

This, naturally, would be considered racist.

Oh, Sharpton is behind this?

Watching Fox.

If Selma doesn't have a first... you must acquit... Or something.

Silly me, I didn't think they had quotas.

Remember last year when Seven Years a Slave was the really big deal at the Oscars? No one seemed angry about that, in fact, it received wide praise.

Maybe Oprah's movie just sucked. Maybe achievement doesn't have a quota system it relies on excellence.

The grumbling over Hollywood studios; "whiteness" should be called what it really is - thinly veiled antisemitism. It isn't only France where Jew hatred (or now the newer Palestinian chic) has become more pronounced among the left. It happens here, as well.

I probably don't have the 'proper'set of beliefs, but if I was a film maker, the last thing I'd want my films praised for would by my skin pigment. Far better that the are praised for their excellence against my competitors' films.

Whoa! I just had a nightmare that an overly botoxed John F. Kerry took a elderly, frail James Taylor to Paris to sing "You've Got A Friend" to the French government leaders as a way of making up for Obama having not attended the big march last week.

Make this nightmare stop!

Next year, Oprah's "Selma And Louis" will sweep the Oscars #YesWeFarrakhan

And just when I thought that my embarrassment, shame and disgust with this Obama administration had reached the maximum......Kerry ratchets it up to an even higher facepalm level.

Yes Haz. I haven't seen Selma, but have seen most of the movies selected. Maybe it sucks. Of those I've seen, I like Birdman the best so far. It was a different look via the camera, but not just artsy, very functional for the plot. I really liked Keaton.

Dude, that guy was a slave for 12 YEARS!!

Birdman was good. Really phrenetic, but that's part of the point or maybe the whole point of the film. I thought it was spoiled by "magic realism." I read that phrase in a review. It's apparently the forte of the director, who's Mexican. I thought the film would have been stronger if Birdman flew, but only in his mind, not in reality, or "magic reality,"

They thought they checked that box last year. What? The Every Five Years Rule does not apply?

Yet more evidence that when Hollywood is lecturing us about racism, it's all just projection and blame-shifting. Maybe they should actually go to some of these racism movies themselves.

DBQ,
It is beyond facepalming.

Oh, FRANCE. You're being so SILLY. Just because we wouldn't show up for your parade of hypocrisy. We still wuv yoooo. Here's a French speaking remote-controlled robot to play with and an old timey folk Wurlitzer (just pull his string) to our feewings into song.

It requires SoothingVideo

I thought they didn't have any black nominees because last year they ripped off all the gift bags?

If Michael Brown were alive he would say that is racist.

Then he would bum rush you to try and get your gun.
