"C-SPAN Sets Up Separate Phone Line for Illegal Immigrants to Call In"

We do have a fourth line for this segment,” said C-SPAN host Paul Orgel. “These are for folks who are here in the U.S. illegally, illegally here in the U.S.”

We should spread the word that they are using caller ID and tracking when the illegals call in.

They will find you!!! Don't call

"But Francis said “Republicans are the problem” for not allowing a debate and a vote on legislation that would make illegal residents legal."

And there you have it in a nutshell.

That's the way it's portrayed in most media today, and 100% in Spanish speaking media.

The truth is:

1) They knowingly broke the law.

2) Most people would do the same in their situation with a nation that clearly does not take their own laws serious, and where you are richly rewarded by that country's people and government for breaking their law.

3) The problem cannot be reversed, due to politics, morality and practicality. The bell will never be unrung.

4) Millions of illegal aliens -good and bad - will live here the rest of their lives no matter what laws are passed.

5) There are long-term political gains and losses for both sides whether something is done or not.

So now what?

My solution:

1) Announce that anyone caught here illegally who cannot prove they were here before 1/1/2015 will never get legal status, EVER.

2) Deport everyone caught who cannot prove that fact after a very simple and fast administrative procedure.

3)Deport all illegals who commit violent or other serious crimes.

3) 10 years of second class status for those allowed to stay. No tax credits, no welfare, etc. Got to charity, the private sector or back home for help.

4) Put the national guard armed and serious as a heart attack on the border.

Living in L.A. for over three decades has left me knowing a lot of illegal aliens personally, and I know that nearly all of them would think this is fair and reasonable,if not generous, which it is.

And Republicans should be the ones who do this.

It is not possible to have a reasoned debate with partisan Democrats on this subject. Just forget about that. They must be destroyed.

Yesterday I caught the tail end of an interview on Bloomberg.

At the end, one of two interviewers asked the Republican somebody, "Okay then, what is your solution for the millions of people living here already?" As if they just happened to be here, as if deportation is the only answer expected, and as if it were possible to provide a good answer that could satisfy the unsatisfiable in the remaining five seconds that he would accept.

The man started to answer, was cut off for lack of time, then the interviewer told his audience as the Republican's mic was cut, "Let it be known here then that the representative was given a chance to provide his solution but would not."

Time and time again I see Republicans provide reasonable responses to journalists that are flatly rejected and followed by, "See? They don't have any answers." How many times have you heard that? Meaning Republicans don' provide responses that Democrats find acceptable." Especially true with healthcare.

Democrats have not made a case for porous borders. They have not made the case for why their government steadfastly refuses to perform its fundamental responsibility of protecting the nation's borders from straight up invasion while it focuses on smaller picayune matters that nettle and vex ordinary citizens that are not part of of what federal government is for. They cannot manage the larger things so they focus on dastardly 'pick a fight with your neighbor' things instead.

This malevolent president stated outright his intention to change the country fundamentally. Why? In what way? In what manner? Our inbred journalist class goes along for the ride demonizing any and all objections as evil.

No, having a rational debate with any given Democrat is quite out of the question. For they are the catch basin for all that is damaged.

The nation does need such a catch basin, and it is gigantic. The world of psychoanalysis is supported entirely by Democrats.

Why are you a partisan Democrat? Something completely convoluted and damaged and wholly wrongly misinformed comes out.

This morning a stunningly beautiful black Democrat female was on Fox being asked about Gruber's open hostility to the American electorate and what impact that might have.

"Well, the law certainly does have a few problems that need to be fixed..." *click*

Stupid bitch. Your premise is rejected. Answer the g.d. question, not start off reframing it to suit your boilerplate propaganda. You don't seem to realize yet your ass was just handed you. And following that even more damaging information surfaced that your propagandists kept well cloaked until it was not possible any longer. Your whole agenda is nothing more than smoke and strategically placed mirrors. Had this come out just one week previously the damage would be far worse. And your blue model is collapsing by its own weight. It not only fails to help the downtrodden, it keep people down. We see power denied to federal government that reduces individual liberty over and over and over and back to the states where it belongs. Yet we see you constantly swimming upstream. This is what you look like writ large.

Of course, the problem with my plan, besides pissing off law-and-order types like myself, is that it will have to be administered by a government that is deeply infected with liars, cheaters, incompetents, and assholes who screw up everything we try to do now days. The rules would be ignored, massaged, and adjudicated out of effectiveness. The only solution to that is open borders, which we already have.

"Doing nothing is a very high standard."

I think the big mistake is trying "comprehensive" reform. The bigger something is, the dumber and more irrational it gets.

Yes, but the behavior is already rewarded enough to bring them and keep them here even without amnesty. The draw is not amnesty, because amnesty is not even necessary to get the benefits of coming in. It's just icing they would love, but don't need at all.

We have to eliminate the benefits for those thinking about coming, so no path to legality if you are not here already. Those already here would be, for the most part, willing to do a lot of what we want from them if they can become legal. We can't get rid of them, because for a lot of reasons, most have nowhere to go now. They would be willing to give up much of what they are getting illegally if we insist on it as the price of staying.

Whoever gets really mean about it, and pushes deportation will lose moral standing, popularity, and elections, which will cost us all more in the long run than letting the current ones stay and be legal. Most are staying no matter what, and the optics required to even try to deport them is suicidal.
