I intend to stay up till the decision. The fate of the Kingdom depends on keeping awake and alert. Since none of the US media are paying much attention, I recommend the BBC, which has a page set up:

I will be sipping from my bottle of Black Bush. It's Irish but it's close enough.

I would like Trooper York to refrain from making a dirty joke about my bottle.

Its all over and was over a long time ago. The Scots are Brits and vice-versa.

The borg has won again.

However, the flags look better when combined.

Well, good......I saw some interviews where people were referring to Braveheart as though it was some kind of historical document, it was a good movie, but it had about as much to do with the historical William Wallace as Mickey Mouse has to do with rodents.

Glasgow went yes, things are tightening up a bit.

In America, the Scotch-Irish were supporters of our Revolution. In Northern Ireland, the Scotch Irish are fanatical unionists. In The 45 rebellion, the highlanders were the ones who tried to shake off the English. The lowlanders in Edinburgh and Glasgow were making too much money to notice much oppression. The highlanders who moved to America were supporters of the Crown during our revolt.. If you ever tried to draw a Venn diagram of Scottish sympathies and national feelings it would look like a plate of spaghetti.

Are they Scotts or are they Scotchs?

Skyfall was an awful James Bond flick, all psychodrama fit only for daytime women's TV. The typical male audience involvement was measured in milligiveashits.

A Bond trend plainly due to Scotlandish influence and I say the hell with it.

One of your best, Chip, and it seems to have turned out that way.

I had a girlfriend in college who went to Scotland for a week. Came back and said it was full of the ugliest people she'd ever seen.

I kept my mouth shut, having long before having concluded she could pass for British, having super-pale skin, brunette hair, green eyes and absolutely no upper lip whatsoever.

She thought of herself as being of Italian heritage.

Never banged her. But hey, she gave me something to comment about, thirty years later, on the internet.

I want to secede from the corruptocrat party.

We let them in, anyway we can.

Sleep well. I'm sure they have good intensions.

Not close at all. About 54% No, 46% Yes. That would be called a landslide in the States. Huge turnout, over 80%. My guess is the silent majority were concerned about being subjected to the tender mercies of the marxist separatists in Glasgow.

The Scotland / Britain divorce settlement stalled over who would get custody of the haggis.

Neither party wanted it.
