Wolf Blitzer Would Not Approve

Blake wrote a great comment back here on my Red Hot Riding Hood/Tex Avery post. This Tex Avery cartoon is from the same era, but is an example of a raw & visceral response to a common enemy.

The cartoon was nominated but lost out in the Oscars to a Donald Duck cartoon, Der Fuehrer's Face. These were all from a time when moral distinctions were more clearly and more easily drawn.

I approve and wish they ran these on TV every Saturday morning.

Slowly but surely I'm starting to suspect that there are certain people out there who will angrily accuse the entertainment industry of propagandizing political causes like "global warming" or "the gay agenda."

And they just might be right!

Whatever happened to art-for-art's-sake, anyway?!

Jeez, Louise . . . Lord love a duck!!!
