Krauthammer: New Benghazi E-mail Akin to Discovery of Nixon Tapes

Sure it is. So let's dig up Nixon and impeach him again. That'll show him.

john said...

Not even close.

Nixon was a Republican.

Shouting Thomas said...

And, now what do we do?

I suspect... nothing.

I'm beginning to believe the reports that Obama is simply AWOL from his duties, and that that is the whole explanation.

He's the quota hire. My experience with the quota hires is that they are laughing at the suckers for giving them a prize job, and that they are screwing off and induldging in all the perks they can get.

This may be what happened and what is continuing to happen. Who expects the quota hire to work?

So, he was AWOL on the night in question. His subordinates, including Hillary, taking their cue from their boss, were AWOL, too.

Lydia said...

Boehner announced a few hours ago the creation of a select committee to investigate. Wonder if any Democrats will agree to be on it?

bagoh20 said...

We are so far past Nixonian now.

Nixon would have impeached himself at this point, which he kind of did, but that was before lying was expected, and the media weren't all wearing Presidential pearl necklaces.

Clean up on Candy Crowley, aisle 9.

bagoh20 said...

Just up on Fox: Video discovered of Obama microwaving a puppy in gravy. Jay Carney states it was self defense, and the gravy was first aid dressing. MSNBC reports puppy was racist, and had links to the Tea Party on his Facebook page.

Shouting Thomas said...

Good one, bagoh!

However, you left out...

Slavery!

TrooperYork said...

If Krautmeister was right about this it would be the first thing he was ever right about.

Obama could kill and eat Honey Boo Boo on national television and he would not be impeached. He can commit any crime and break any rule as he has done over and over again. He is completely immune to any thing he might do.

We need to get over it and just hope that he will step down when his time is up.

I have my doubts that he will.

Nobody could eat Honey Boo Boo in one sitting, but her mom says "come and get some sugar".

There's also the Lerner emails.

This stuff is piling up so it's getting harder to ignore, but the real point is, there's public interest driving this.

Wait for something to get ghastly - market crash, currency crash, major war, 9/11 * 654987.

And it will, bills are coming due from all that bad policy.

The Choom Gang will be the necessary scapegoats.

PS Waiting for revelation of all the death lists - ChoomCare, VA, DHS, etc.

Lem the artificially intelligent said...

I don't sense any groundswell of attention to this either.

I don't know that there has to be.

We aren't governed by the manipulations of polls... are we?

Shouting Thomas said...

We just have to wait out Obama's term.

bagoh20 said...

He's already done the damage to the country. Having him in there now is just starting to pay off politically. I say keep him, at least until after 2014. Let that Democrat boil swell and fester.

chickelit said...

The 2014 midterms may change things. Not impeachment but passage of rebalancing power legislation scaling back executive power. That should be Obama's legacy.

bagoh20 said...

It would be supremely impressive if a conservative President following this one with the cooperation of a Republican Congress would severely slash Executive power. That would clearly define the Republicans as different from Democrats and politics as usual. It would define the party for a generation. It just has to be the right guy. Who is that guy?

Or gal.

It would be supremely impressive if a conservative President following this one with the cooperation of a Republican Congress would severely slash Executive power.

That could only happen if said President ordered the immediate cutting of Senior Executive Service positions by at least 75%.

Seriously.

Lacking that, we kid ourselves that any President runs the government as an executive.

The very worst thing Bush 43 did was to re-organize agencies and create the Department of Homeland Security. The ONLY thing any such reorganization does is increase the senior bureaucracy by substantial magnitude...which in effect decreases and dilutes Presidential control.

Bush may have been a good guy, with high ideals, that he still shows, however he was naive...naive in the extreme. He listened to advice from DC-institutionalized crony advisors that dated back to Nixon's West Wing. Yee f'ing Gawd.

PS: I don't have to guess about the above, I lived it within the DOD structure.

Aridog said...

I should have included cutting the Flag Rank military ranks by the same 75%...BTW, SES ranks are flag ranks, they get their own little special flag that all underlings are expected to unfurl when they visit, just like a General.

Aridog said...

Rhythm and Balls said...

This news must have caused several orgasms at least.

Hardly. A Select Committee was long over due, and it should be/have been bi-partisan.

With a military background and fairly recent service I want you to know I do not take the unexplained death of anyone, soldier or civilian in service to the United States lightly. If I had treated operations in the manner this administration has, I'd have been in prison at Ft Leavenworth long ago.

No one had to lie. They did. Both Republicans and Democrats deserve to know why. My 3 comments at the end of the abc-news-email-not-released thread, in response to ARM, say why I feel as I do.

If you have a better rationale, please lay it out here and now.

Aridog said...

And another thing...how did the government allow former NSC spokesman, Tommy Vietor, go off and run his mouth like an idiot on national news.

Dude...NSC is a security outfit and this guy is a clown who should never have been involved with it.

Please. The mind boggles.

The answer to all your questions is that the Obama admin is grossly incompetent.

The incompetence starts at the top and streams down.

Obama doesn't have the requisite experience or personal attributes to function successfully as President.

There's nothing worse than not being taken seriously when you explain how strongly you hate something. And this makes our hatred of him feel vindicating. It reinforces to the sheeple why our hatred is good, and why reasoning through our hatred is absolutely unecessary.

People didn't listen when the Hyena above would say things like "quota hire". But now they certainly will. People used to just call him "racist", but now they will agree with Hyena Boy and say, "You're really very rational! Your burning, seething hatred was always a very rational thing!"

If so, then you're a damn sight better than a number of the TOPers when it came to Pat Tillman. I had to endure listening to "Big Mike" state flat-out that even if he was fragged, it was no big deal compared to all the bigger and more political fish he had to fry.

None.

Not one.

And of all the news I saw only one mentioned the special committee looking into some guy named Ben Gazzie, or something, some crackpot attack against our pristine administration leading us into the holy glory of light and life.

Were it not for FOX we'd have no journalism at all, and even those stuttering dumbasses cannot be listened to beyond the third "eye eye eye I think..."

Their stuttering problem is pervasive. That they don't see it, hear it, correct it, is amazing. FOX best listened to on mute.

Doubtless, Ritmo was all broken up on that one, too.

But not until it came out Tillman was a victim of friendly fire. Up until then, Ritmo probably couldn't stand the idea of an NFL star going to war for his country.

He would have been right at home in the mid 60s when young Commies called the families of soldiers killed in 'Nam and told them, "He got what he deserved. He was a paid killer".

And regarding Clithammer, does he have a track-record for his certainty being as inaccurate as Kristol's et al? Does he predict things in timelines corresponding to a Canadian equivalent of "Friedman Units"?

Unless you count trollery.

And I'll bet Kraut has a better record than Ritmo.

When you could pin him down to something.

Why is it worth the time to respond to a jackass whose emotional life is so deprived that trying to evoke bitterly angry responses on the internet is all he's got?

How many Americans died in Watergate again? Yet we refer to scandals now as ____ gate. I'd suggest _____ghazi from now on.

How would Nixon have fared if a Watergate scandal broke every few months for 5 years running.

Bleach Drinkers Curing Coronavirus Together said...

Oh, you sure are emotional, Tommy. That's for sure.

Hence, my challenge to you to come up with a single observation that isn't hyperbolic. Or as the Greeks would say, full of hysteresis.

And then I logged back in and noted you uploaded two more hysterical comments, all in the defense of what an emotional guy you are.

I wouldn't say that my response to your predictability was a very emotional one, but I am mildly entertained by the predictability of this demonstration of yours.

Bleach Drinkers Curing Coronavirus Together said...

hey, Rit, it's a comedy show...

I wouldn't want to live your emotionally starved, bitter life, Ritmo. I have no doubt that you are getting exactly what's coming to you.

You would do very well to shut up completely and learn what you can from me. But, I learned long ago that you are far too stupid and malicious for that.

From all the news about investigations into doctored voting rolls and people who voted in more than 1 state, it's looking that way. All we need is that one memo.

And, keep in mind, nobody thought we'd ever see smoking guns on Benghazi or the IRS.

Oh! So you're sucking his dick too, Chickie! How nice.

I can account for what I say (wrong or not - and no matter how many years ago). Hyena Thomas cannot. And you're only making this a tit-for-tat game because you absolutely fail at ever calling him to account. Well then, I guess that would make sense given the number of racist posts you've written yourself.

Listen, credibility is a two-way street. So is objectivity. I've written comments critical of Crack that you were awestruck by (but perhaps you deleted them, like you did when you commended me for integrity last night).

But I've wasted enough time in this comment already. The point is, there is no point with you because you're usually just as averse to making one.

But don't let that be an excuse for fellating Tommy and being a chimp-like attack dog on his behalf against me. For starters, he thinks getting paid gigs beats free horseplay. So you should at least ask him for the nickel you wanted to get out of me for simply bothering to write another one of the only sort of rational exercises you (commendably, at least) put this blog through - the chemistry-directed science posts.

Bleach Drinkers Curing Coronavirus Together said...

Or alternatively, how about we never have anything else to say. Because Lord knows how incapable you are of addressing Obama in any terms that don't immediately presuppose some indelible kind of alleged criminality.

Yes, we already know your conclusions. Sometimes we toy with your ridiculous premises. But we find it's best to let you bleat out your negative fixations with the man on your own. It's an obsessive relationship that we really don't want any part of.

He was playing Hearts (of one sort or another) with Reggie love when 4 men were dying and the entire NCA knew it was a terrorist attack.

He considered a campaign fundraiser more important, covered it up, and was derelict in his responsibility as CinC. Sounds like dereliction of duty might be considered a high crime. Not to mention malfeasance, misfeasance, and nonfeasance, which have sent a lot of politicians to jail.

Now when Dubya didn't fly into a panic when told about 9/11, guys like you could talk about nothing by My Little Pony.

Well, Choom was playing My Little Pony, too.

Bleach Drinkers Curing Coronavirus Together said...

That was certainly as incoherent as expected, Eduardo - but if you're trying to compare the scandal of how this attack was handled to the fact that 9/11 even occurred - it's still as amazing as ever to see how out of touch your assessment is in that.

Poll the people: 9/11 occurring or Benghazi's occurrence and handling (or mishandling. Whatever)?

Probe and investigate (I know you guys like that) this stuff all you want. It still won't equal the desecration of the W. administration domestically and abroad. I know you wish it would, but it doesn't and it's still impossible (barring something very unforeseen) that it would.

But you won't get over that because you need to hate something to feel good about yourself. It must be a conservative partisan character flaw.

Or just your refusal to think.

Awright, now I'm getting to the point where I need to pull the Shouting Thomas on you and kindly ask you to buzz off while I proceed with occupying myself in other ways this evening. Take care of yourself, Eduardo - and quit thinking that your worst political problem is me. It really wastes a lot of however else you could be using your time and energy to believe that.

No, what you tried was incoherent, but we expect nothing less.

If the 9/11 Commission proved anything, it's that the time to stop it was the 8 years Willie was blowing up aspirin factories and turning down bin Laden on a silver platter, not to mention building all those impenetrable walls around the various intel agencies.

But, hey, what was more important, safeguarding the country, or grabbing the ass of an intern and then covering it up with lies?

Sorry, but the subject is Benghazi and your little Messiah screwed it as badly as any could imagine, to a point where it's clearly impeachable.

Keep tap dancing, too bad there isn't any music playing.

And this makes our hatred of him ...

You really don't get it, at least for my part. I don't hate Obama, I pity him.

He is pathetic and no more in control that I am. If I despise anyone it is the institutionalized senior bureaucrats who actually run things. I've already said I felt the same about Bush, except Obama is even more naive.

BTW...this is NOT TOP nor does "Big Mike" post here to the best of my knowledge. But I will acknowledge that the death of Specialist Pat Tillman is a good example of how institutional bureaucrats lie, no matter the administration. The several citations that say Tillman was "promoted" to "Corporal" are bullshit...both Specialist and Corporal are E-4 ranks, one is technical the is line ...e.g., the category of his rank was changed, not the level...e.g., no promotion.

You cannot escape the lies of government today, even Obama is buried in them. I cited Tommy Vietor ("dude") precisely to illuminate that fact.

Bleach Drinkers Curing Coronavirus Together said...

I'd definitely exclude you Ari from accusations of irrational hatreds or other sentiments. You're saner than most here, and definitely more even-handed. I don't agree with all, and note some nit-picking (of which I'd be guilty at times, too of course), but fair's fair.

That said, it seems likely the administration was caught doing something fishy, I'll grant you that. But as far as the extent of it or the impact or what it all means, that's a point where we'd still likely disagree somewhat.

Bleach Drinkers Curing Coronavirus Together said...

Bitchmo, what's with the resorting to homophobic slurs lately?

Ah, the irony of someone calling homophobia on a guy she slurs with the word "bitch".

Not that I have any indication you're looking for a serious answer, but the exchange of favors and allegiances and selling out integrity for the sake of those things is fair game when it comes to prostitution metaphors. The sex and orientation of any of the sell-outs is hardly the point. The point is how cowardly it is to be a suck-up in the name of comity and false equivalence at the sake of some real fairness and integrity.

I reserve every right to use prostitution metaphors with people refusing to exemplify any integrity over a shallower and more corrupt interest. After all, the former is still taboo in America and the latter is a dime a dozen. I notice that acceptance of gays hasn't changed that. So consider it a sign of equality and progress that two cocksuckers can still get called out on account of they're being whores. As can two carpet-munchers. Or any combination thereof. Whoredom is whoredom and we welcome the recognition that prostitution doesn't discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation.

No doubt because I have worked as an underling in government and in DoD, while I am guessing that you have not, for any extended period anyway. But thanks for acknowledging that I try to be fair minded. I wish you acknowledged more of the commenters in the same way.

I could probably sit down with Bush for a beer and enjoy the man's company, provided his Executive office advisors were not around. Same thing with Obama, although we'd differ strongly on policy I am sure. Again only without his West Wing meatheads and cabinet jackwads present. It is the went to DC and never left, no matter the administration, folk, civilian or military, that I generally distrust. They can and do look people in the eye, steadily, and lie their butt's off. Do it so often they believe it themselves.

Consider how any President can manage such people when they are the majority of his staff and cabinet? When they tell a monsterous lie or even a smaller but egregious lie, how does a POTUS react to that?

Say his entire crew are jackwads and he's sorry? Not in this political life, if ever. The inculcated Beltway drones have taken over. It will take a President stronger than FDR to change the system now.

Aridog said...

R & B....let me add that I grant Bush and Obama with naivetƩ to some degree, however I'd never grant that for Hillary Clinton. She's a born, bred, and trained liar of the first order and would have no issues with a crew that lied equally. That is something she has already proven. My attitude for 2016 is "anyone but Hillary"...and I can't yet believe the Democrats, even on a drunken binge, would actually nominate her. The fact they chose essentially a nobody, by comparison, over her in 2008 encourages me.

We will see.
