I worked in a number of startups during the dotcom era. Loved it because my employer didn't give a shit about anything except hard work and competence. Startups were 100% male, for the obvious reasons.

The kind of crap that's happening at Mozilla is an indication that a biz has become a cash cow. When "social" issues take over a biz, I always wanted out. And, it's no accident that a woman issued the Orwellian PR statement justifying herself on the grounds of "Diversity."

I always wanted out when the women started showing up at a biz in large numbers. Because they bring this "social" crap with them.

Fortunately, my tech skills enabled me to be a Lone Ranger for most of my life.

That's why I acquired those skills.

I'd advise young men to get a certificate from their community college in some sort of blue collar skill that involves infrastructure maintenance. Women don't want to be in those fields, and the money is good.

You won't have to eat the kind of shit this guy at Mozilla was forced to eat.

I disagree with the twit. It's not anti-religious discrimination. It is simply a different religion discriminating. They are believers that believe a certain way, and if you don't, then you are to be persecuted.

Removed Firefox from my computer yesterday. I was amazed at all the available browser options when I did a DuckDuckGo search. I installed one of the first ones I came across, Maxthon Cloud Browser. Pleased with it so far and it was developed by a Chinese company so at least I'm not supporting the diversity crowd in Silicon Valley. It does seem to block a lot of the advertising crap that always showed up with Firefox.

Don't use firefox anyway-- and proud of it.

Leland, I'm thinking it's more like religious persecution.

I loved the Netscape browser, back in the 90's. But it never took off for some reason.

Ooop, I see you said that at the end.

The gays should just make the bigots wear big yellow stars.

The modern left want to purge all types of thought-crime.

The alliance between between gay men and single straight women is one of the ugliest and most perverse dynamics of a biz that has become a cash cow.

Hated it. And, believe me the hatred was mutual.

Put up with it when I had to.

Retirement has taken me completely out of the loop of that ugly, perverse shit, thank God.

Forgive me for the sin of pride, Fr. Fox, but I'm pretty skilled at fighting back against that crap, both through overt and covert means. I'm clever and quick on my feet.

I worked at a full time job once in my life for a period of six years. Loathed it. Spent the remainder of my 50 years of work as a freelancer, biz owner, independent artist and contractor. Took my lumps some times, but I preferred it.

The do-gooders will get hold of my body when I'm no longer mentally competent. They'll have to be satisfied with playing their S&M game out on me for whatever time my body remains, but my mind is absent.

How much time will pass before being an observant Catholic will automatically disqualify someone from working in the tech industry in California?

Or perhaps it already has.

I have deleted Mozilla and I hope all the rest of you have done the same.

I'm keeping Firefox.

Provided they fix a bug they introduced in v27, still in v28, that makes it a CPU hog with XP Home.
