WND: "Racial mobs blamed for collapse of London night clubs"

"Black mob violence is ruining their business, say the owners of a popular nightclub. Just like it ruined the businesses of 15 other nearby night spots which recently closed."
Except this is not in America. These hot spots are in London.

This declaration of racial violence came from the owners and managers of the Fridge Club, an iconic three-story venue where as many 300 people can be found staying up all night to dance, drink and often use drugs. But lately violence is ruining the buzz:

“The absolute majority of people who have disrupted these venues are black men and increasingly some black women,” said the owner and managers in a Facebook posting. “There, I said it. It is true, I have witnessed it and there is both anecdotal and empirical evidence that what I say is true.”
The post lists 15 South London clubs that recently closed because of black mob violence: “Almost every single venue has closed because of violence, the threat of violence, disrespect to their staff and coming to the inevitable conclusion that it is better to close than putting up with that bull—,” they said. “Unless and until young black people (18-35) learn to conduct themselves in a civil manner then the night time economy will be closed or severely restricted to you. But slavery was almost nonexistent in England. The slave trade was outlawed in 1807.

This is bullshit. If the "blacks" they're talking about are Jamaicans and other Caribbean or West African immigrants, then the majority of these folks are descended from former plantation slaves, often owned by absentee English sugar barons who may never have laid eyes on their possessions.

I have nothing to say to the substance of the story but that little fillip irritated me.

Derrick Coleman formerly of the New Jersey Nets summed it up perfectly:

"Whoop-de-damn-doo, tell me something I don't already know."

Those night clubs need to start playing country music. That will drive blacks away.

Running a club is a losing proposition anyway. There is a humongous risk vs. reward differential. It is really not worth it. People come to dance and not to drink. That is why hot clubs open and close so fast and why they have crazy stuff like $150 bottle.

Bars are much more profitable. The door policy eliminates much of these problems. Specifically a dress code. No sneakers. No do rags. Your pants have to fit. No hats of any kind. No over the top bling.

Clubs can't do that. They shouldn't complain. They are selling the hip hop lifestyle. So you need your senseless violence, meaningless abusive sex and drugs. That's what you signed on for when you run that kind of club.

This is kind of amazing. Laat weekend, I used UBER car service to go to an engagement party downtown. The driver was a young black man from Ghana. He now lives in my old neighborhood in Philly. I asked him if he goes to such and such bars and nightclubs that were there when I lived there. He said "no, they are all closed now and he placed the blame on young African American men who go to bars and end up shooting each other or others"!

He went on to say "you are supposed to go out and have a good time on the weekend and then go home not shoot other people!"

I am not making this up- true story!

It's because they don't have jobs! When will the mental violence against the black yute stop?!?!?!

Wasn't there a post up by Haz about whether or not we've been Alinskyed? And now it's gone. I smell skullduggery. I love that stuff but not having the brilliant (and devious) mind of a Troop or a Pogo I'm always a step behind. Unless I'm imagining the Haz post. Then it's Alzheimers.

Yes, where did Haz's post go. I was going to make the observation that the list can be read as how democracies, which devolve into corrupt oligarchies, ultimately end.

This was touched upon i Austen's Mansfield Park. The protagonist's uncle had plantation holdings in the Caribbeans, or some such.

Yes, where did Haz's post go.

There also was a momentary post up titled "I'm Rich, I'm Rich?" But now it's gone. I figured it was Lem talking about his new commercial venture here.

A fellow Austenophile?

Chick, must be blogger acting up.

Lem is busy watching the Red Sox lose spring training games. So he keeps hitting the "Re Set" button.

If London doesn't want free and open commerce, let them stew in it. They've made nothing but mistakes when it comes to mollifying criminals. Even the biggest loudmouth supporters of British PC immigrate here.

But now it's gone.

You must be reading the ads or something. They change, refresh or whatever. I have no control over that.

Not every club caters to the hip hop "culture." There are several places that are technically restaurants but really operate as clubs, with a very severe door policy and they've been thriving for decades. Most are located on the upper east side and are veddy veddy WASPish. There was a story recently in the NY Post about one such club, located in the east 60's, and the whole draw of the place is that only "our kind of people" are admitted. In other words they are the last holdouts of genuine freedom of association, which of course is severely punished as the dreaded discrimination everywhere else. My assumption is that these clubs either have high up protectors in city government or make regular "contributions" to the inspectors.

Haz's post was misinformation from a conspiracy site. That was pointed out, he said he would take it down, and he did.

So fucking what? Slavery is over a hundred years ago. This is NOT an excuse for being assholes and criminals today.

You are responsible for the NOW and responsible for your own actions.

Grow the Hell up and stop making excuses for despicable behaviour.

Mitch H. said...

I don't disagree, DBQ, but Jamaicans in the US are a very different cultural beast than Jamaicans in England, as I understand it. People matter, but their trajectories drive their behavior en masse. Jamaicans in the US are your basic aspirational immigrant story, and West Indians are as successful as East Indians or Koreans or what have you, *in the United States*. In metropolitan England, they're doing something culturally similar to Mississippi Delta blacks in Chicago or Carolinan/Georgian blacks in New York City: trapped in a vicious cultural feedback loop driven both by the attitudes of the greater array of cultures surrounding them, and their own counterproductive responses to same.

Call it founder's effect, or contingency, or path dependency, but it is something real.

No big revelation here.

Many of the clubs where the my band plays hire bands that appeal to an older whiter audience precisely to keep trouble away from the door.

The liability for somebody getting beat up or killed is too much to bear.

There are so many things I'm not supposed to notice.

The gubmint should put PSA posters all over: Things You Must Not Notice.

It'll need frequent updating, so maybe they can use those newfangled electronic signs.

Rabel has it right. I put up what I believed was an interesting topic that made reference to Saul Alinsky. Two commenters gently suggested it might not be accurate, and I dug deeper into the details.

What I found was that the article I quoted was disproved by Snopes dot com, and I took it down.

I'm embarrassed, of course, but if I can't be relied on for honest topics, then I shouldn't be doing this. I gave myself a timeout.

Normal posting will resume after a decent interval.

I'd have more impressed if, once illuminated, the "conspiracy" was denounced for what it was, if it was. A clear statement or several would have done the trick. Then the topic would stand denounced.

As it is...censorship, by any other name....etc.

Shouting Thomas said...

I read the deleted post.

It was quite accurate as regards the inevitable outcome of progressive policies.

But, progressives will correctly tell you that those outcomes are not their stated goals.

The destruction of family is not a deliberate goal of progressives, but that is the outcome of their policies nonetheless. And each progressive "solution" leads to another "problem" that only a more heavy handed progressive policy can fix.

Thus, domestic violence increases in direct correlation to progressive policies that destroy families. In the progressive dogma, you can't return to traditional two parent families. No, you must force yet more societal change to fix the problem that progressive policies created.

Yeah, black people smell different. So do Euro-white folk. Ask any Asian, especially Korean or Japanese.

We stink. We smell like spoiled onions. My ex-wife assured me of this, even as she smelled like a cross between a rose and a rancid garlic bud.
