CBS On the Road

Ohio  boy, 8-year old Miles Echard finds $20.00 bill in restaurant parking lot, plans immediately formulate automatically, a world of possibilities opens in an instant, video game! His immediate plan changes immediately, touching story evolves.

And so the life pattern is set early for Miles and an early lesson learned, money is like water, Miles, easy come, easy go, right though your little fingers, they cannot hold onto it.

Unless you try super hard and deny all impulses to part with it, and prevail with everything pulling against it. You must be a true miser to do all that  and who wants to do that? Some do. Saving must be the main thing, the overriding urge for years on end, and there must be enough money around to do that or else urgencies take it away.

The great part of that pattern is easy come.

Pay it forward. Good grief. Was it requirement to introduce bathos to a perfectly good story with that unthinking sniffing ostinato?  Is this not a child displaying generosity of spirit to a grown man in or near retirement self-actualized in every way and basically playing with airplanes an example of paying it backward not forward? What a stupid way to tag generosity with a banal impulse, the kind that is spurred by a grave and gaping psychological and emotional hole.

Very nice. The "pay it forward" and "thank you for your service" are adult phrases, so the note was somewhat dictated.

But the action was pure kid.

Truly, I say to you, unless you turn ... are you still harping on Althouse left right bs?

Unless you turn... and grow like Chips hydroponic plants and bear fruit... that turn ripe? ... why do they have to turn?

Because it's NASCAR and people have to watch from the stands. If they don't come around, then people will miss the race away from their limited sight, perception and all that.

Ok, turn, unless you turn and become like little children you will not enter the 2016 GOP primaries.

I don't know about manipulation. If the facts presented are true then it's just touching. That kid has been robbed of so much - a father for a lifetime.

I know so many people who's fathers were just worthless, and so many lonely men who would make excellent fathers if they found the right woman who understood what they can bring to a relationship. Unfortunately for all involved, they never get the chance. I'm hoping that all the new forms of internet people matching will help to fix this information problem.
