Iraqi farm

A news item about twenty-one Iraqi militants killed by their own explosives while filming a propaganda video led me to look for twelve miles south Samarra. One commenter said it seemed straight out of Four Lions.

"I ain't gonna work on 'raqi's farm no more"

Or, do Dylan references only belong at TOP?

If Bill Ayers is any indication, one of the surviving terrorists has a bright future as a presidential counselor...

Slublog AoSHQ described it as the "Feel Good Story of the Day."

deborah: You mean the actors in Four Lions?

deborah said...

No, I mean Middle Easterners in general, esp. the men.

deborah: You should do a Rule 5 post on good looking men of the middle east.

From traveling around there, I found they have a fairly representational cross section of looks (good and bad). Similar to most southern European countries.

Okay, I really tried, but could not find this Rule 5, except for :

Rule 5: "5 Olympic Solidarity*
The aim of Olympic Solidarity is to organise assistance to NOCs, in particular those which
have the greatest need of it. This assistance takes the form of programmes elaborated
jointly by the IOC and the NOCs, with the technical assistance of the IFs, if necessary."

subsection #9 to encourage joint bilateral or multilateral cooperation programmes among NOCs;

Olympic Charter

I sent this photo to Deano in Nebraska and he wrote back and said those are normal tracks left by a harvester.

And it looked to me like the guy was on acid.
