"IRS lawyer to Congress: 'I don't know' — 80 times"

"The top lawyer for the IRS [William Wilkins] in the midst of the congressional investigation swirling around the nation's tax collectors and their admitted targeting of the Tea Party, has responded to a written inquiry, and managed to claim ignorance on 80 different responses, as reported by The Daily Mail of London, England on Dec. 4, 2013."
Darrell Issa (R-CA) and Regulatory Subcommittee Chair Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) have sent a letter to Wilkins giving the IRS top lawyer 10 days to "amend" his answers if he so chooses.
Your memory consistently failed when you were asked about information you shared with the Treasury Department', adding his testimony 'suggests either a deliberate attempt to obfuscate your involvement in this matter or gross incompetence on your part.'
Prior to being appointed to the top spot at the IRS by Barack Obama, Wilkins was retained as legal counsel for Chicago's Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago ran by the controversial Jeremiah Wright....

He can answer "I donno" another 80 times, times 80 if he chooses. He knows, with certainty, that no punitive action will result. Just who would enforce any charge or finding? Holder? Bwahahahahaha.

Barry the POTUS has defeated both Congress and the Courts, by threatening to ignore their findings, legislation, or whatever. In fact he has already ignored standing law multiple times...most recently the PPACA, his own law, by re-interpreting it by fiat and edict as he sees fit. Don't need no Congress or Court no more....hello autocracy.

When people hear that Obama does somenthing by fiat maybe they think he is "saving" another car company.

See previous Jon Turley post. There's nothing the courts or Congress can do to hold the Executive branch accountable for anything, as Aridog notes above.

They could impeach him. In theory ;)

True, but that's not who he has to worry about. The voters can if they wish, turn his Presidency into a complete failure even beyond what he has done himself. That's what he's worried about. And, once he's out, the revelations and stories to be told have the potential to make him worse than Nixon in the historical narrative of the future. This is his worry now.

As I've told you all before, no one will be arrested, reprimanded, censured, fired, demoted, whatever in this administration. Darrel Issa has tried to shine the light of the affects that this marxist kleptocratic administration has had on the US, but it will result in nothing happening to anyone. They will get away with it. Obama will get away with it. No one will be punished, no one will suffer for the complete criminal incompetency that this administration has committed on us all. Obama knows this and will continue to molest us domestically while being a total and utter pussy internationally. We are fucked for another 2 years with this bumblefuck of a traitor.

Historians of the future will look at the Obama Administration, and compare it to the administration of President Grant, at best. At worst, it will be seen as a giant collective hallucination by a majority of the electorate, and they will search for the reasons that made it happen. Unfortunately, we here will probably all be dead when this scholarly process starts in earnest.

Even I, a liberal for most of my adult life, have been stunned by two things:

1) The depth of white guilt in the Democratic electorate.

2) The power of glamor in the minds of folks who see themselves as "reality-based".
