Restaurants offer free meals for veterans and military on Veterans Day

"A long list of restaurants are lining up to offer free food or full meals for veterans Monday. Many also give discounts to military families." (for the list click read more)

"Note: Times vary. Unless otherwise noted, all are valid for active military duty or veterans. Valid military ID required, although some restaurants will also give freebies to people in uniform. All restaurant locations participate. (We only feature meals that have no purchase required.)"

• Applebee's, Monday: Free signature Thank You meal, including items such as a 7 oz house sirloin, bacon cheddar cheeseburger, three-cheese chicken and sundried tomato penne, fiesta lime chicken, double crunch shrimp, chicken tenders platter or oriental chicken salad. Present a valid veteran's ID or be in uniform.
• Bar Louie, Sunday and Monday: Free meal up to $12 value.
• Carrabba's Italian Grill, Monday: Free appetizer.
• Champps Americana, Monday, participating locations: Free hamburger (seven choices) and waffle fries from open to close. Call ahead to verify local participation.
• Chili's, Monday, participating locations: Free entree from the Veteran's Day menu (PDF), which includes oldtimer with cheese, chicken crispers, margarita chicken, classic turkey sandwich, lighter choices grilled chicken salad, soup and salad combo, full flatbread, pizza, lunch combos during lunch hour.
• Denny's, Monday: Free all-you-can-eat pancakes.
• Golden Corral, Monday 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.: Free Veterans Day buffet and beverage.
• Krispy Kreme, Monday, participating locations: Doughnut and small coffee.
• Little Caesar's, Monday: Free order of crazy bread.
• LongHorn Steakhouse, Monday through Thursday: Free Tonions and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Max & Erma's, Monday: Participating locations offer a cheeseburger combo meal with dessert, meaning a choice of soup or salad and a chocolate chip cookie.
• Olive Garden, Monday: Free meal from a special menu. All November, current or veteran service members and their familities get 10% off.
• Outback Steakhouse, Monday: Free bloomin' onion and beverage. Military discount of 10% off the total check Nov. 12-Dec. 31.
• Red Lobster, Monday through Thursday: Free appetizer, including spicy buffalo chicken bites, lobster pizza, sweet chili shrimp, crispy calamari and vegetables, lobster-artichoke-and-seafood dip, lobster-crab-and-seafood-stuffed mushrooms, Parrot Island coconut shrimp, crispy fried green beans, mozzarella cheesesticks, chilled jumbo shrimp cocktail. 
• Red Robin, Monday: Free tavern double burger and bottomless steak fries.
• Texas Corral, Monday, participating locations: Free entree. Regular 50% discount to active-duty police officers, firemen and military personnel.
