Dumb ways to die

Reports are kids love this. They howl, apparently. Catchy tune. One man said he'd like it more were he not subjected by younger members of his family singing it four days straight. Sixty-three million views over there on YouTube, two or them are mine. Nearly ninety-four thousand comments, and that is a lot of comments.

I heard of a guy who died from a cerebral aneurysm that was brought on by trying to solve Fermat's Theorem. It was an intelligent way to die.

Is it just me or does the tune, especially at the end sound like it's channeling Feist?

Now dammit, I decided ahead of time it would not get me, and even while listening I thought, yea, it's not all that catchy, but a few minutes later I'm out on the back forty, in the pitch dark night, walking the dogs, and what am I singing? That's after just one listen.

It has to be a better earworm than Vitajex, which is what's stuck in my head right now.

Eat 5 tabs of acid followed by 11 tuinals and after touring old Times Square cross from the NE corner of Broadway to the SW corner of 7th Ave on 42nd street. Bright lights big city.

Boring. Depressing. Dull. As ear-worm material it really sucks.

Try Deborah Harry/Blondie doing "One Way or Another" or "Heart of Glass" ... among many others, from Morrison/Doors to Tina Turner, to Fogerty/CCR and tunes that always stick in your memory. For example: how many times has "Proud Mary" melody (Turner and then Fogerty) been the background for advertisements this year?

Yeah, I'm an old fart. You noticed? :)

Aw, nobody wants to come out an play now. Okay, here's my real favorite ear worm music. And that's the short version...it runs another 8 minutes otherwise...the In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida of its day. :)

Guess I'm a kid at heart; I think it's pretty funny.
