I decided to buy the Get Smart movies DVDs instead of renting via Amazon. I fell sleep before the end of Laura the other night.

The Amazon policy is one in which once the movie starts (24 hr in my case) the countdown starts.

When I went to try to finish it, a day or so later, the movie was no longer available.

I may fall sleep watching Get Smart. Nothing smart about that, agent 99.

That's an even better idea.

Insta has a good post.

See? that's a kind of lame review of the post actually. the reason is that there is little chance of repartee with the big guy.

You know what?... I take it back. its a lousy post.

Ok, I'll give you - "for a lousy post, its not bad" - but, not another word. I don't want to hear it. save it.

Now, I'm not trying to start anything, but this article intrigues me.

When I read Tax Blog Professor I went into convulsions.

I had to leave immediately.

The two youngest who are in high school (junior and senior) start tomorrow.

I start at UNM on Monday.

My oldest starts at the community college the week after that.

And our local science fiction convention (I'm volunteer coordinator again this year) is the 23-25th.

So... if you don't see me around... well, I'm probably fine and I probably haven't killed anyone.

Feldon commented in an interview that a lot of the gags couldn't be aired today owing to the PC police.

The Complete Get Smart is a good buy on sale, five seasons.

It's a romance, not actually a gag-fest.

My theory

1. Guy gets sent on quest.

2. Guy, being average or worse, may screw up.

3. Girl shows him she's satisfied with him.

99 always went to #3, which made every male in America in love with her.

She was only average good looking - her "tiger" sexpot ad was laughable in another career, but that #3 makes all the difference.

The Carell/Hathaway version is a deadpan romance with a feminist.

Jackson Pollock's secret was an ability to intuitively draw fractals, according to an analysis.

Your kid can't do it unless he can do fractals.

So does the senate have the ability to amend the constitution via international treaty?

From the go-to source for social right wing alarm Weasel Zippers.

Place your SCOTUS bets.

Weasel Zippers is like Drudge. Lots of posts every day, and you won't miss any story of their genre that the MSM of course won't mention.

Lots of genre noise too.

Contrary comments run but get disliked a lot.

I've updated my CIA funds Jackson Pollock post.

If only Obama had used his blackness for niceness instead of evil.
