15 Really Strange Beaches

Follow up to Freeman's "sugar-white" beach post.

Sandy stretches of gray, brown or even white are the world's norm. Even rocky beaches or those with sheer cliffs barring passage for everyone save the bravest adventurers are not rare. But there are other beaches on Earth that look like they belong on another planet or almost feel like they are on another planet. These unique beaches are some of the best treats nature has to offer.

Glass Beach, MacKerricher State Park near Fort Bragg, California

I do like the beach after it snows and the dunes are covered but the only sand is that little patch between the waves and where the surf laps up.

ot - I see on Drudge that people are dying because of the media's lies about the Trevon Martin case.

Obama, MSDNC and NBC have blood on their hands.

This is what happens when a nation loses an honest press.

I have no sanded beach, but I have, in some places, a combed lawn.

I'm scything the grass longer this year, wondering what would happen.

In places where the grass grows fat and long but at various angles, the scythe leaves the blades that are naturally lying flat in the direction of the scything, cutting the rest.

So long as you always scythe in the same direction, you wind up with a combed-looking lawn.

I have the feeling that this is not going to catch on.

Hard to believe you're not allowed to take glass from the glass beach.

She is in. Not showing might have to do with a limit. I might have to bump somebody off.

rh, stick a stake in the middle of the lawn and attach, by rope, a self-propelled lawnmower to it so it goes around in ever-narrowing circles. You're welcome :)

Here's one about a man shot by 3 thugs for "Trayvon".

Several others here, here, and here.

Truth in advertising, not all of the beatings may be in honor of Saint Skittles, but we do discern a pattern.

Murder?

Most foul?

Might I suggest (dare I say?) rotating?

Thanks for the comment link Lem!

I went to a glass beach like that in Kauai once. It was an old dump and the waves reached it and turned the glass to little gems.

Troop already said to take his off since it's private, and the ever gay sweety meady hoe-tato should go as it's also private (funny how lawnfaggot says Troops private blog is bad but his own private blog is good).
