Fox News babes are intriguing

I just now flicked through Fox News slowly enough to hear Kirsten Powers say something very close to, "I-I-I-I-I-I-I-I don't think it's right to say, the military did something wrong so let's close down the military." Then repeated or buttressed that I stopped listening, went on to another channel.

But my thinking stayed back there with her, assuming she was talking about the IRS and drawing a comparison with demands to closing it down, I'm assuming all that, and imagined myself across from Kirsten Powers annoyed with her false analogy, it's a thing people do all the time, and I really do not have a kind way or a gentle amusing way, I'm not that mature, I haven't learned to not be aggressive when annoyed that way and I know my visage changes and I do not want that.

P-p-p-p-p-p-poker face.

That's what I want. The unsightly argument that formulates all by itself by being stuck there like a magnet by her alluring beauty, intermittent charm and annoying sayings was, "T-t-t-t-t-t-there is alternative means to collect funds Federal government, and do that fairly, as yet there is no alternative for military. So your comparison there does not make sense"

People hate being told they do not make sense.

She is formulating her counterattack while I was there speaking in my mind and since she is doing that and not paying full attention to me speaking her counterargument is farther away from where she started and where it has gone. Being a gentleman and averse to the un-poker face thing that happened, to make up and to compensate I go, "B-b-b-b-b-but you do make a very good point about being rash. Best to get to the bottom and get it all out."

IRS - Why not fire each and every pro-democrat hack and replace them with actual humans?

Kirsten Powers is one of the few lefty women I could probably live with. "Honey, did we forget about that samich?"

I have heard her be very fair, even a bit rightish on occasion. Sometimes she seems like being a lefty is just her job.

Now which statement above is more insulting? I really don't know.

" Monica Lewinsky Caught On Explicit Recording Telling Bill Clinton, ‘I Could Take My Clothes Off…"

Any video could just be footage from a pork packing plant with dubbed audio. I ain't buying it.

Did you mean the IRS or Fox News, April?

And something you may see on Fox only collusion in the IRS scandal between Lois Lerner and the FEC.

Yes, each is milky white and the same size.

I like Megyn Kelly.

She told Kirsten Powers here "you don't know what you are talking about".

A straight shooter Megyn is.

Kirsten Powers reminds me of a sweet but not so bright pet that means well, but occasionally loses it and pees on the carpet.

I bet Megyn Kelly voted for Obama.

well, they have kirsten powers on. Name me the conservative or the libertarian voice at CNN or MSNBC.

I mean--the poobah at CNN just said they didn't have enough conservative voices.

So Fox News has all kinds of democrats. Sounds balanced to me.

But you're a beautiful person, Inga. We love you. Not that way. The other way. Well, some of us. Not all of us.

Ed still hasn't gotten over why you emailed Bags and not him.

1. disposed to preserve existing conditions, institutions, etc., or to restore traditional ones, and to limit change.

Works well as a description for the mainstream left and right alike, really. :)

The people I speak to about important things do this and similar constantly.

"So what you're saying is..."

It is their way of understanding a situation and communicating it. It is a valid way to understand things, I think but,

full stop.

I am not saying that. I said what I said, I was exceedingly specific. There is somewhat of a similarity there, but no, that is a different thing, an exaggerated example, most likely for clarity, but different and it completely wipes out all the differences between them, so no, that is not what I am saying.

I have to correct you all the time, step by step, and this is wearisome when I could be talking to... her.

I don't know what it is a sudden subtle change has occurred that has lead to a noticeable change in response.

I engage people while doing mundane things like shopping. They usually do not expect it and often have no way to react. But if I stick with it, perhaps extend the incident to another, often they open up, as happened last night.

The checkout guy was a young slob. Cherubic red cheeks on a pleasant youthful face atop a body shaped like a cone. With pants hanging under the cone. Disgusting.

I handed him the wrong grocery store card.

Then I said, "That was a test and you passed."

He looked at me incredulously.

Within the first moment I said about money, "Eh, it all ends up the same place anyway."

A flippant remark but it pushed a button of his and launched into how wrong I am about that. He's studied economics and knows better.

I visualized myself actually chopping up bundles of $20 dollar bills at the FRB, that actually was part of my job, but that is not what I had in mind when I made the remark so I just listened instead.

Lord, he was a wearisome smart Alec drone, omg, I honestly have no patience at all left for surface skimming nonsense when discussing important things.

"Look. You and I are 17 trillion dollars in debt. It is quite impossible to visualize that because it takes the whole solar system. "

"I can visualize it. It's a 17 with what, a bunch of 0's behind it."

"12 0's behind it, in America, thirteen 0's in some other places."

That's what I'm talking about. Now because of his button we are into important things just that fast. And he pissed me right off. Not for challenging me, but for being so surface-skimming superficial smart-Alec-y about something so important as the economic future of the nation."

"You're doing it too. You cannot visualize it either. Ask the internet and they'll go, in every case, here is a pile of 100 dollar bills. No. The task is not to visualize Empire State Buildings, or distances between planets using 100 dollar bills, the task is visualize 17 trillion dollars, not visualize 1/100th of that. You cannot visualize it. And worse, you've lost all connection between the work that you are doing right now for wages, and currency. It is a faith-based system and faith is rapidly deteriorating."

"But it's still here. It's not gone. It's still supported."

This is where I became angry and and find I cannot control myself. We were nearing the end of the grocery store checkout process. I leaned in and held direct eye contact, knowing that down there his pants are hanging off his cone ass.

"I will die before my portion is paid, and it is immoral to pass that debt to your children and your grandchildren. That is not a valid economic system. After this last election cycle, I honest began to believe that in the minds of our elite class, public money is utterly meaningless, that they have moved onto a Star Trek-type economy where money does not exist."

This pushed another of his button. Aren't I intuitive? I just go boink boink, button, buttton.

And whereas the surface-economic droning was unbearable, the surface Star Trek economic droning doubly so. And you know how the guy behind you moves in too closely too quickly before you are done? That happened. I turned to the guy and said, "Hello."

"Sorry, your conversation sounded interesting." Hipster. Purple clothes. Purple hat.

"We're talking about Star Trek economies."

The cherubic checkout slob continued talking while I shut up completely, put off entirely, and turned my attention to the young female bagger leaving him to the hipster. "You're really good at this." And her smile was the warmth of an Easy Bake oven, so much more fun than the two dudes.

Here's an interesting background fact about Kirsten Powers: she used to date Anthony Weiner. When you've been exposed to Anthony Weiner, you appreciate a man with a poker face.

As it's in your Constitution, well, of your State, you were just Easily Baked.

A very nice observation nonetheless.
